The cheapest way to park at Heathrow
Park Inn, Express Parking and Purple Parking are the cheapest products with a guide page on our site. The official Park & Ride is the cheapest option where you keep your keys.
| Car park | Per day | Getting to the terminal | Keys |
|---|---|---|---|
| Park Inn Heathrow | £5.51 | Paid Hoppa bus to T2, T3, T5 | See confirmation |
| Express Parking Heathrow | £6.39 | Transfers to all terminals | See confirmation |
| Purple Parking Park & Ride | £7.78 | Free bus to T2 and T3 | Left with staff |
| Official Park & Ride | £11.76 | Free bus | You keep them |
From two travellers, Purple Parking's free bus beats Park Inn once the Hoppa fares are added. For meet and greet on a budget, Edward Lloyd costs £70.00, £24.08 less than the official Park & Ride. See our cheap Heathrow parking page for the ten lowest prices.
Price guide and turn-up charges
Turning up without a booking costs far more than pre-booking at Heathrow. Eight days at the drive-up rate come to £308.60 at the Park & Ride and £784.00 in Terminal Parking at Terminal 5.
| Car park | Drive-up tariff | 8 days at that rate |
|---|---|---|
| Park & Ride | Free up to 29 minutes, £9.40 up to 1 hour 59, £46.80 first day, £37.40 each extra 24 hours | £308.60 |
| Terminal Parking, Terminal 5 | From £8.00 up to 29 minutes, £98.00 for 12 to 24 hours, £98.00 each extra 24 hours | Over £780 |
| Pod Parking | £59.60 a day | Over £470 |
| Valet | Pre-book only | Book ahead |

Heathrow's pay-on-the-day tariffs, checked 18 October 2026. The eight-day totals are our sums.
The pre-booked prices in our table sit far below every total. The exact saving on each product is on our Heathrow parking discount code guide.
Choosing the right car park for your trip
Match the car park to your terminal, your trip length and whether you want to keep your keys. At Heathrow, those three choices decide most of the price.
| Your trip | Our suggestion | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest price, one traveller | Park Inn Heathrow | Cheapest we compare |
| Free bus, Terminals 2 or 3 | Purple Parking Park & Ride | Bath Road, about 10–12 min |
| Keep your keys on a budget | Official Park & Ride | Free buses, all terminals |
| Terminal 5, quickest transfer | Official Pod Parking | Driverless pods |
| A day or two | Official Terminal Parking and Priority Terminal Parking | Beside the terminal |
| Families with luggage | Edward Lloyd Meet & Greet | Handover in Terminal Parking |
| Terminal 4 | Park Giant Meet & Greet | Meeting point at the T4 Park & Ride |
| An electric car | MBW Meet & Greet | 22kW charging while you are away |
Book early whichever you choose. Prices rise as your travel date gets closer.

On-airport car parks at Heathrow
Heathrow runs Terminal Parking (formerly Short Stay), Park & Ride (formerly Long Stay), Priority Park & Ride, Pod Parking, Meet & Greet and Valet; you keep your keys in every one except Meet & Greet and Valet.
What the official car parks are called now
Heathrow renamed every official product: Short Stay is now Terminal Parking, Long Stay is now Park & Ride, and Business Parking is now Priority Park & Ride. Some road signs still show the old names.
| Old name | New name | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Short Stay | Terminal Parking | Car parks beside Terminals 2, 3 and 5 |
| Long Stay | Park & Ride | Car parks with free buses, one per terminal |
| Business Parking | Priority Park & Ride | Faster shuttles to the doors, Terminal 5 only at present |
| No change | Pod Parking | Driverless pods to Terminal 5 |
| No change | Meet & Greet and Valet | Handover services run by Heathrow |
Heathrow says the new names will take time to reach every sign, so you may see Short Stay on the approach road and Terminal Parking on your booking. They are the same car park. One more naming trap: Terminals Parking is a private operator, not Heathrow's Terminal Parking. We explain both below.
Terminal Parking
Terminal Parking, formerly Short Stay, is the closest official parking at Terminals 2, 3 and 5. At Terminal 5, covered walkways link the car park to departures and arrivals.
It is the dearest way to park at Heathrow over a week, but it earns its price on short trips and for pick-ups. The drive-up tariff at Terminal 5 starts at £8.00 for up to 29 minutes. It is also where Heathrow's Meet & Greet and most off-airport meet and greet operators hand over, so the walk to check-in is the same for all of them. Read the Heathrow Terminal Parking guide or our Heathrow short stay parking guide.
Park & Ride and Priority Park & Ride
The official Park & Ride is the cheapest parking Heathrow runs, with free buses to every terminal. Priority Park & Ride adds faster shuttles, but only its Terminal 5 site is open.
| Car park | Terminals | Postcode | Transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Park & Ride T2 and T3 | Terminals 2 and 3 | TW6 2SB | Free bus, 10–20 min |
| Park & Ride T4 | Terminal 4 | TW6 3XL | Free bus, 10–15 min |
| Park & Ride T5 | Terminal 5 | TW6 2RL | Free bus, 7–10 min, Level 0 stop |
| Priority Park & Ride | Terminal 5 (T2 and T3 site closed) | TW6 2RP | Shuttle, as little as 10 min |
Buses leave every 15 minutes from 04:00 to 23:30, and you keep your keys. The drive-up rate is £46.80 for the first day and £37.40 for each extra 24 hours, and the price guide below sets that against the pre-booked price. The first 29 minutes are free, which makes the Park & Ride the free fallback for pick-ups.
See our Official Park & Ride and Heathrow Priority Park and Ride guides, or compare every bus option on our Heathrow park and ride page.
Pod Parking at Terminal 5
Pod Parking links its car park to Terminal 5 by driverless electric pods, in about six minutes. Heathrow says you never wait more than 30 seconds for a pod.
Up to four passengers and their luggage.
Car park to terminal.
Vans and tall vehicles fit.
Every pod.
Self-park.
Covers the hours the pods do not run.
The pods run on a guideway from the car park on the Northern Perimeter Road. The system has 21 pods on 3.9 km of guideway and has run since 2011, according to Wikipedia. When the pods close for engineering, a replacement bus runs. See our Heathrow Pod Parking guide.
Official Meet & Greet and Valet
Heathrow's own Meet & Greet takes your car at a reception inside Terminal Parking: Level 1 at Terminals 2 and 3, and Level 5, Row M at Terminal 5. Valet takes it at a hosted reception on the departures forecourt, with a 100% discount on the drop-off charge. Both run at Terminals 2, 3 and 5, keep cars on the airport and open 05:00 to 22:30 for final collections. Eight days cost £97.86 for Meet & Greet and £123.41 for Valet with BCP30. Our official Heathrow Meet and Greet and official Heathrow Valet guides have the arrival steps.
Which car parks let you keep your keys
You keep your keys at Terminal Parking, the Park & Ride, Priority Park & Ride and Pod Parking. Meet and greet, Valet and most off-airport park and ride sites take them.
| Car park | Keys | Getting to the terminal |
|---|---|---|
| Official Terminal Parking and Priority Terminal Parking | You keep them | Short walk |
| Official Park & Ride | You keep them | Free bus |
| Official Priority Park & Ride | You keep them | Shuttle to the doors |
| Official Pod Parking | You keep them | Driverless pod |
| Official Meet & Greet | Handed to a driver | Walk from Terminal Parking |
| Official Valet Parking | Handed to a driver | Forecourt handover |
| Purple Parking Park & Ride | Left with staff | Free bus |
Key-drop sites hold keys so staff can move cars around a compound, which keeps prices down. Remove house keys from the ring before you hand it over.
Security at Heathrow's car parks
Heathrow describes round-the-clock patrols, automated barriers and bright lighting across its own car parks. The off-airport operators each describe their own measures.
Patrols, barriers and lighting, per Heathrow.
CCTV, barriers, 24-hour patrols and fencing, per Airparks.
Park Mark Safer Parking Award and 24-hour monitoring, per APH's listing.
A condition check with the driver at handover.
We have not found a Park Mark statement for Heathrow's own car parks, and we have not independently verified the operators' claims, so we report what each says. Whichever you choose, take valuables with you and leave nothing on show.
Off-airport meet and greet at Heathrow
Off-airport meet and greet at Heathrow starts at £70.00 for 8 days, with Edward Lloyd and Airport Meet & Greet. A driver meets you on Level 4 of Terminal Parking at Terminals 2, 3 and 5, takes the car to a compound and brings it back when you land. Every product below costs less than parking yourself in Terminal Parking (£156.24).
| Operator | Terminals | Where you meet | Hours | 8 days with BCP30 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Meet & Greet | In your confirmation | In your confirmation | In your confirmation | £70.00 |

Meeting points on Level 4 of Terminal Parking
At Terminal 2, MBW and APH use the Off-Airport Parking rows A or B, with their desk at the Lift Lobby; Edward Lloyd, Park Giant and Terminals Parking use row B. At Terminal 3, MBW and APH use rows A or B with the desk at the Arrivals Lift Lobby, Edward Lloyd uses row B, and Park Giant and Terminals Parking use row A. At Terminal 5, MBW, APH, Park Giant and Terminals Parking use rows R or S, Edward Lloyd uses row S, and Maple uses the Off Airport Meet & Greet bays, with check-in at the Purple desk in the lift lobby. Take a ticket at the barrier and hand it to the driver.
Calling ahead and service hours
Call Edward Lloyd, MBW, APH, Park Giant and Terminals Parking about 30 minutes before you reach the airport, and Maple about 20 minutes before. With MBW and APH, that call gives you a 45-minute arrival window, and MBW pays the first 15 minutes of parking on the way in and out. Edward Lloyd works 05:30 to 22:30, MBW and APH 04:00 to 23:59 every day of the year, Terminals Parking 04:45 to 23:59 (reseller listing) and Maple 24 hours a day. On return, call once you have your bags and wait inside the terminal until the driver is ready.
Extra fees to check
- Edward Lloyd: £40 in cash for collections after midnight, early returns or a different flight; a £7.50 car park fee on entry and on exit; no left-hand-drive cars.
- MBW and APH: £25 for arrivals between 23:59 and 04:00, £50 for vehicles over 2.2 metres high and £25 over 5 metres long; the airport access fee is in the price.
- Terminals Parking: £40 for handovers outside 04:45 to 23:59 (reseller listing).
- Park Giant: the access fee (£7.50 each way) is in the price; £25 a day for overstays and £20 for an early return, according to APH's Terminal 4 listing.
- Maple: the airport access fee is in the price.
Meet and greet at Terminal 4
Heathrow's own Meet & Greet ended at Terminal 4 when the multi-storey closed on 23 June 2026. Park Giant now meets Terminal 4 customers at the Terminal 4 Park & Ride (TW6 3XL), runs a free shuttle of about 5 to 10 minutes to the terminal and takes vehicles up to 2.0 metres. Terminals Parking (£84.00), MBW and APH (£117.53 each) and Maple (£135.79 for Terminals 2, 3 and 4) sell Terminal 4 products: follow the Terminal 4 instructions in your latest confirmation.
Meet and greet with EV charging
Heathrow's own car parks have no EV chargers. MBW charges on 22kW three-phase chargers in a dedicated area, needs no cable from you, guarantees at least 70% and aims for 100%; it costs £114.73 for Terminals 2, 3 and 5 and £135.73 for Terminal 4. Terminals Parking charges once, to a maximum of 70%, with your own cable, at a compound within five miles (£140.00). Park Giant charges on request, at extra cost.
Off-airport meet and greet against Heathrow's own
Edward Lloyd costs £27.86 less than Heathrow's Meet & Greet for 8 days, Terminals Parking £24.36 less and MBW and APH £1.33 less. Heathrow keeps its cars on the airport; the off-airport firms drive them to their own compounds. APH, MBW, Maple and Park Giant say the ULEZ applies on your arrival and return dates. Our Heathrow meet and greet guide sets every service side by side.
Off-airport park and ride at Heathrow
Off-airport park and ride at Heathrow starts at £44.10 for 8 days at Park Inn on Bath Road, £49.98 less than the official Park & Ride. Most sites take your keys and serve only some terminals, so book the one that reaches yours.
| Car park | Where | Terminals | Transfer | Keys | 8 days with BCP30 |

Park Inn and the Hoppa sums
Park Inn parking is at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre on Bath Road, which traded as Park Inn until 2020. The Hotel Hoppa calls there on route H2B to Terminals 2 and 3 and H5B to Terminal 5; it does not serve Terminal 4. Hotel Hoppa fares are £7 single and £13 return per person, or £36 for a group return of up to four; there are no child fares. One traveller pays £44.10 plus £13, or £57.10, which is still the lowest total. Two travellers pay £70.10, so Purple Parking (£62.27, free bus) is cheaper from two people. A family of four with a group return pays £80.10, still £13.98 less than the official Park & Ride.
Purple Parking on Bath Road
Purple Parking sits at 17 Bath Road (TW6 2AL), on the A4 on the airport's northern edge. You hand your keys to reception and take a free bus, every 15 minutes, to Terminals 2 and 3 in about 10 to 12 minutes, according to Airparks and SkyParkSecure. It does not take vehicles over 2.15 metres, commercial vehicles, minibuses, pickups, medium or large vans or long-wheelbase vehicles. Airparks lists CCTV, entry and exit barriers, 24-hour patrols and perimeter fencing, and says the site has no accessible facilities.
Express Parking and Terminals Parking
Express Parking lists transfers to all four terminals for £51.10, £7.00 more than Park Inn, with no bus fare per person. Parkos lists the operator on Sipson Road, West Drayton, with a secure compound about 5 minutes away, and describes a meet and greet at your terminal's car park, so check which service your confirmation names. Terminals Parking is a private company, not Heathrow's Terminal Parking: it sells one product for Terminal 5 and one for Terminals 2 and 3, at £63.00 each, with reseller hours of 04:45 to 23:59 and no Terminal 4 product.
Off-airport sites against the official Park & Ride
Heathrow's Park & Ride costs £94.08 for 8 days. You keep your keys, and the free buses take 10 to 20 minutes to Terminals 2 and 3, 10 to 15 to Terminal 4 and 7 to 10 to Terminal 5. Purple Parking costs £31.81 less and Terminals Parking £31.08 less, but both hold your keys. Gregg Maurice, Premium Parking and Triangle Parking also appear in our search with 8-day quotes; their details come with the booking.
Before you drive to an off-airport site
- Use the site postcode. The sites sit on Bath Road and around West Drayton, not at the terminals.
- Hand over the car key only. Take house keys off the ring at key-drop sites.
- Check the terminal. Purple serves Terminals 2 and 3 only, and the Hoppa does not reach Terminal 4.
- Check the ULEZ. Non-compliant cars pay for each day they are driven in the zone.
Our Heathrow park and ride guide adds the official buses, Priority and the pods, and our Heathrow long stay parking guide compares the options for a week or more.
Getting to your Heathrow terminal
Heathrow has four passenger terminals, 2, 3, 4 and 5, and most car parks serve only some of them. Check your terminal first, then choose the car park.
| Terminal | Official options | Off-airport options | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Terminal 2 | Terminal Parking, Park & Ride, Meet & Greet, Valet | Purple Parking, Terminals Parking, most meet and greet | Terminal 2 parking |
| Terminal 3 | Terminal Parking, Park & Ride, Meet & Greet, Valet | Purple Parking, Terminals Parking, most meet and greet | Terminal 3 parking |
| Terminal 4 | Park & Ride only | Park Giant and Terminal 4 meet and greet products | Terminal 4 parking |
| Terminal 5 | All official products, including Pods and Priority | Terminals Parking T5, most meet and greet | Terminal 5 parking |
Heathrow closed the Terminal 4 multi-storey on 23 June 2026. Terminal Parking and Heathrow's own Meet & Greet ended there, and Terminal 4 parking moved to the Terminal 4 Park & Ride. Operators that met customers in the old multi-storey have moved their meeting points, so follow your latest confirmation.
Terminals 2 and 3 share the central terminal area, reached from the M4, and share a Park & Ride. Terminals 4 and 5 are reached from the M25 and have their own car parks. Book for the terminal on your ticket, because a car park for the wrong terminal can add a long transfer.
Getting to Heathrow by car
Heathrow sits west of London between the M4 and the M25, and each terminal has its own approach road.
Terminals 2 and 3 are reached from the M4 at Junction 4. Terminals 4 and 5 from the M25, following the terminal signs.
Each car park has its own postcode. Use the one in your confirmation.
Heathrow sits inside London's ULEZ. Non-compliant vehicles pay £12.50 a day driven.
The Park & Ride sites sit on the perimeter roads: Eastern Perimeter Road for Terminals 2 and 3, Scylla Road for Terminal 4 and Northern Perimeter Road for Terminal 5. Allow extra time for the M25 and the M4 at peak hours, and more again on the first days of the school holidays.
ULEZ and electric vehicles
Heathrow sits inside London's Ultra Low Emission Zone, and it has no EV charging in its own car parks.
| Product | When the ULEZ applies, per Heathrow or the operator |
|---|---|
| Terminal Parking, Park & Ride, Priority, Pods | The days you arrive in the car park |
| Meet & Greet and Valet | Arriving and leaving, and possibly when cars move between sites |
| APH and Terminals Parking | Departure and return days |
Non-compliant vehicles pay £12.50 a day. Check your car on Transport for London's checker before you book. Fully electric cars are exempt, but Heathrow says it does not currently provide EV charging in any of its car parks. To come back to a charged car, book MBW Meet and Greet with EV charging or the Terminals Parking EV product. Our Heathrow EV charging parking guide compares them.
Dropping off and picking up
Every Heathrow terminal drop-off area charges £7 per entry, and pick-ups on the forecourt are not allowed.
- Drop off. Stop, unload and go. Waiting is not allowed, and unattended vehicles may be towed.
- Pay. Online, by phone on 0330 008 5600 or with AutoPay, by midnight the day after.
- Avoid the penalty. An unpaid charge becomes an £80 Parking Charge Notice, reduced to £40 within 14 days.
- Pick up in a car park. Terminal Parking at T2, T3 and T5, or the Park & Ride.
At Terminal 4, the Priority Pick-Up area charges by the minute, and Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride is free for up to two hours. Blue Badge holders can apply for a 100% discount on the drop-off charge. Full details are in our Heathrow drop-off and pick-up guide.
