About Official Park & Ride
Park & Ride is the new name for Heathrow's Long Stay car parks. It is the cheapest official parking at Heathrow, with a car park for each terminal and free buses to the doors.
Heathrow renamed its Long Stay car parks as Park & Ride. There are three sites: one for Terminals 2 and 3 on Eastern Perimeter Road, one for Terminal 4 on Scylla Road, and one for Terminal 5 on Northern Perimeter Road. You park, keep your keys and take a free bus.
Buses leave every 15 minutes between 04:00 and 23:30, and Heathrow quotes transfers from about 10 to 15 minutes depending on the terminal. Outside bus hours you call 020 8745 6261 for a transfer. At Terminal 5, buses pick up and drop off on Level 0 of the forecourt.
Heathrow describes automated barrier access and round-the-clock security patrols. The exit barriers take vehicles up to 2.4m, taller than Terminal Parking. Since Terminal 4's multi-storey closed in June 2026, this is the only official product at Terminal 4.
Location and getting there
Heathrow sits between the M4 and the M25, west of London, and inside the ULEZ. Follow the Long Stay or Park & Ride signs for your terminal. Postcodes: T2 and T3 TW6 2SB, T4 TW6 3XL, T5 TW6 2RL.
Allow for the drive, parking and a wait of up to 15 minutes for the bus, plus the ride itself.

The Park & Ride buses
Park & Ride for pick-ups
The first 29 minutes are free, and Blue Badge holders get the first two hours free. At Terminal 4, Zone A of the Park & Ride is free for up to two hours, which makes it the best place to wait for arriving passengers there.
ULEZ and your car
Heathrow sits inside London's Ultra Low Emission Zone. Non-compliant vehicles pay £12.50 for each day they are driven in the zone. For this car park, Heathrow says you pay for the days you arrive in the car park in a non-compliant vehicle, normally the days you drive in and out.
Before you travel
A few minutes of preparation makes the day smoother at Park & Ride. At Park & Ride, match the car park to your terminal before you set off.
Keep your confirmation handy at the barrier.
Photograph the level or row sign when you park.
Nothing to hand over, so keep them safe on your trip.
Heathrow has four. Your boarding pass shows which one.

Collecting your car on return
Keep your booking confirmation on your phone for the trip home. Coming back takes a few simple steps.
- Follow the Park & Ride bus signs from arrivals.
- Ride back to your car park.
- Drive out through the barrier.
