The spread is narrow. Sentinel, both Park2Travel products and the official Long Stay are close together, and Mid Stay, Short Stay and Meet & Greet form a second group. Only Premium Short Stay stands apart, because it bundles Fast Track with the closest spaces. With prices this close, the transfer and the keys matter more than the last pound.
Official car parks at LBA
Leeds Bradford Airport runs Long Stay, Mid Stay, Short Stay, Premium Short Stay and Meet & Greet. You keep your keys in all of them except Meet & Greet.
The budget car park, with a 24/7 shuttle bus.
A walk-in car park, 6 to 9 minutes from the terminal.
A few minutes' walk from the terminal.
Next to the terminal, extra-wide bays, free Fast Track.
Keys left at a reception cabin close to the terminal.
Free for up to an hour, for drop-offs and pick-ups.
Every official car park reads your number plate at the barrier, so there is no ticket to lose. Blue Badge areas are available across all of them, per the airport. The airport does not publish security details or a Park Mark award for its car parks, so we report what resellers list and do not claim an award.
Long stay and the shuttle
The official Long Stay is the cheapest car park run by the airport, with a shuttle bus that runs 24/7. The airport puts the ride at about two minutes.
You park in any space, keep your keys and take the shuttle to the terminal. Resellers describe the bus as running when needed and quote up to four or five minutes, so allow about 20 minutes from the barrier to the terminal door. On the way home, you catch it back from where it dropped you off.
For a week or more, Long Stay is the natural official choice. Sentinel costs a little less but holds your keys. Mid Stay costs a little more and swaps the bus for a walk. Read the Official Long Stay page for the details.
Short stay and the walk to the terminal
Short Stay is a few minutes' walk from the terminal, and Premium Short Stay sits next to it. Mid Stay is further out, at 6 to 9 minutes on foot.
| Car park | Walk to the terminal | Extras | Per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official Mid Stay | 6 to 9 minutes | No bus, keep your keys | £8.31 |
| Official Short Stay and Premium Short Stay | A few minutes | Keep your keys | £9.62 |
| Premium Short Stay | Next to the terminal | Extra-wide bays, free Fast Track | £14.61 |
The airport sits on a hillside at Yeadon, and the walks are not flat. With heavy cases or limited mobility, the gradient matters as much as the distance. Premium Short Stay's Fast Track covers two passengers, per resellers, and on a busy morning it can save more time than the shorter walk.
Short Stay and Premium earn their price on a trip of a day or two. For a week away, Mid Stay or Long Stay cost far less. Mid Stay has a 1.9m height limit, per resellers, so check before you book with a roof box.
Meet and greet
Leeds Bradford's Meet & Greet is run by the airport, with a reception cabin close to the terminal. You leave your keys and walk in, under two minutes with no bus.
- Drive in. Pull into the vehicle check area and press the button to enter.
- Hand over. Leave your keys at the meet and greet reception cabin.
- Walk in. Under two minutes to the terminal, per resellers.
- Collect. Pick up your keys from the same cabin. Your car is parked nearby.
The car must fit a standard bay and pass under a 1.9m entry barrier. Trailers and commercial vehicles are not accepted, and motorcyclists use other car parks. On our sample dates, Meet & Greet costs only a little more than Short Stay. See the Official Meet and Greet page.
Off-airport parking
Sentinel Parking and Park2Travel run off-airport sites in Yeadon, close to the airport. Both take your keys and run a short shuttle.
Warren House Lane, Yeadon. Half a mile away, 2-minute shuttle on demand, open 24/7. The lowest price we compare.
An open-air site in Yeadon with a shuttle to the terminal.
Covered parking on the Yeadon Airport Industrial Estate, with a shuttle of about three minutes, per resellers.
Sentinel describes 24-hour security staff, CCTV, barbed-wire fencing and floodlighting, and accepts vans and motorhomes for a small extra charge. Park2Travel Indoor keeps your car under cover, which is rare at a UK airport and useful in a Yorkshire winter. Park2Travel has no guide page on our site yet, but both products can be booked through the search above. See the Sentinel Parking page.
| Park and ride | Run by | Transfer | Car kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sentinel Parking | Off-airport operator | About 2 minutes, on demand | Open-air compound |
| Park2Travel Outdoor | Off-airport operator | Shuttle | Open air |
| Park2Travel Indoor | Off-airport operator | About 3 minutes, per resellers | Under cover |
| Official Long Stay | Leeds Bradford Airport | 24/7, about 2 minutes | Open air, keep your keys |
All four park and ride options put you at the terminal within a few minutes, because Yeadon sits right beside the airport. That short ride is one of the easiest at any UK airport, so the off-airport sites lose little on convenience. The real choice is between handing your keys to an operator for the lowest price, paying a little more for covered storage, or keeping your keys at the airport's own Long Stay.
Dropping off and picking up
The Pick Up & Drop Off car park is a one-minute walk from the terminal and charges from the first minute. There is no free stopping on the forecourt.
| Time | Charge |
|---|---|
| Up to 10 minutes | £8.00 |
| 10 to 20 minutes | £10.00 |
| 20 to 30 minutes | £13.50 |
| 30 to 60 minutes | £16.50 |
Tariff as reported by ukair.com and airportdropoffcharges.co.uk, checked against the airport's own statement.
It is cashless, and you pay by card at the exit barrier. The first 10 minutes cost £6.50 in 2024, so the charge has risen by about 23%. Full details are in our Leeds Bradford drop-off and pick-up guide.
The One Hour Free Zone re-entry rule
The One Hour Free Zone at LS19 7UE is free for up to an hour, but re-entering within an hour carries a minimum charge of £68.
For drop-offs and pick-ups.
Signed from Whitehouse Lane.
Via the Mid Stay walkway.
Drop someone off, drive away, then return for a forgotten passport, and the minimum charge applies. Use the paid Pick Up & Drop Off car park for a second visit instead. Check the car before your passenger walks off.
The free zone is the only no-cost way to drop off or pick up at Leeds Bradford. The walk climbs towards the terminal, so allow more time with cases, children or a passenger who walks slowly. For a long flight delay, a short stay car park is safer than overrunning the free hour.
The cheapest way to park at Leeds Bradford
Sentinel is the cheapest product we bring you at Leeds Bradford, followed by Park2Travel Outdoor and the official Long Stay.
| Car park | Per day | Getting to the terminal | Keys |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sentinel Parking | £7.17 | 2-minute shuttle | Left at reception |
| Park2Travel Outdoor | £7.44 | Shuttle | See confirmation |
| Official Long Stay | £7.61 | 24/7 shuttle | You keep them |
| Official Mid Stay | £8.31 | Walk | You keep them |

The gap between these four is small over a week. Choose on the transfer and the key policy rather than the last pound. Two habits still lower the price: book early and never turn up without a booking.
Electric vehicle parking
The airport does not advertise EV charging in its own car parks. Sentinel Parking lists EV charging among its services.
The airport's parking help pages point drivers to the nearest charging point rather than to chargers in its car parks. Arrive with enough range for the drive home, because a car parked for a week in a cold, exposed spot loses a little charge. Ask Sentinel how its charging works and what it costs when you book.
Which car parks let you keep your keys
You keep your keys at Long Stay, Mid Stay, Short Stay and Premium Short Stay. Meet & Greet, Sentinel and Park2Travel take them.
| Car park | Keys | Getting to the terminal |
|---|---|---|
| Official Long Stay | You keep them | 24/7 shuttle |
| Official Mid Stay | You keep them | Walk |
| Official Short Stay and Premium Short Stay | You keep them | Short walk |
| Official Meet & Greet | Left at the reception cabin | Walk, under 2 min |
| Sentinel Parking | Left at reception | 2-minute shuttle |
Key-drop sites hold keys so staff can move cars within a compound. Remove house keys from the ring before you hand it over.
Getting to LBA by car

Security at Leeds Bradford's car parks
Resellers list CCTV, barriers and regular patrols at the airport's car parks. Sentinel describes its own security.
CCTV, barriers and patrols, per resellers.
CCTV, fencing, floodlighting and patrols, per resellers.
24-hour staff, CCTV, fencing and floodlighting, per the operator.
At every official barrier.
We have not found a Park Mark statement from the airport, and we have not independently verified the operators' claims, so we report what each says. Whichever you choose, take valuables with you and leave nothing on show.
