Regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 states that contracts for the provision of leisure services on a specific date (or for a specific period) are exempt from the 14-day "cooling off" period placed on select online goods and services. The consumer's 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to bookings made on the website; therefore, cancellations are subject to these terms.
Cancellation terms
- All cancellations must be made directly through Britain Car Parks in order to be valid (not with the car park).
- You must use Manage Booking to cancel your booking online.
- No refunds are available for unused part stays.
- Non-flexible rate bookings cannot be amended, cancelled or refunded.
- Bookings made within 24 hours of the date of departure cannot be cancelled, amended or refunded.
- Less than 24 hours' cancellation notice from the date of departure - customers will receive no refund.
- More than 24 hours' cancellation notice from the date of departure - Britain Car Parks does not charge a cancellation fee, however a £20.00 charge is payable to our Payment Gateway provider and will be deducted from your refund.
- Booking amendment charges are not refundable. If you cancel your booking after an amendment, the £20.00 Payment Gateway provider charge, plus any amendment charges, will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded to your original payment method.
- A parking date change, including extending or reducing your parking stay, will make the booking a non-flex booking, which cannot be amended again and is non-refundable if cancelled after that.
