Unusually, the cheapest product is the airport's own. The Express car parks cost a little more for a walk instead of a bus, and Short Stay a little more again for a two-minute walk. The spread is narrow, so choose on convenience.
Official car parks at Aberdeen
The airport runs Long Stay, Short Stay and Priority, and you keep your keys in all three.
| Car park | Getting to the terminal | Extras |
|---|---|---|
| Official Long Stay | Bus, under 5 min | Free hour for drop-offs; offshore rate |
| Official Short Stay | Walk, about 2 min | Mostly undercover; EV charging |
| Official Priority Parking | Under 100 steps | Priority Security; wider bays |
The airport says its car parks hold the Police Scotland Safe Car Park Award, with CCTV and regular patrols, and lists Park Mark for Long Stay.
Long stay at Aberdeen
Long Stay is the cheapest car park the airport runs, with a bus of under five minutes from 04:00 until the last arrival.
You keep your keys, and the car park is open 24/7. For a walk instead of a bus, the Express car parks on International Gate are five minutes away. Our Aberdeen long stay page compares them.
Short stay and Priority
Short Stay is a mostly undercover multi-storey about two minutes from check-in; Priority is across the road.
Short Stay has more than 500 spaces and a 2.2 metre height limit. Priority adds larger bays and Priority Security for up to two people. See our Aberdeen short stay page.
The Express car parks
APH Express and Airparks Express sit at the same address on International Gate, Dyce, a five-minute walk from the terminal.
Both are run by Airparks and staffed 24 hours; you keep your keys. APH also sells Charge & Go from the neighbouring unit, where staff park and charge the car. See APH Aberdeen (Express and Charge & Go) and Airparks Express Aberdeen.
Park and ride
Aberdeen's park and ride is the Long Stay bus; there are no large off-airport shuttle sites.
That keeps things simple: every option is a short bus or walk. Our Aberdeen park and ride page sets them out.
Meet and greet
The airport does not list a meet and greet service.
Priority, across the road with Priority Security, is the nearest equivalent; APH Charge & Go is the one product where you hand over your keys. See our Aberdeen meet and greet page.
Dropping off and picking up
The Express Drop-off costs £7 for up to 15 minutes; Long Stay is free for up to an hour.
After 15 minutes at the Express Drop-off, charges rise by £1 a minute to a flat £50 after half an hour, paid by card at the exit barrier. Blue Badge holders should use Short Stay, with 30 minutes free. Every detail is in our Aberdeen drop-off and pick-up page.
Offshore parking
Offshore workers flying from the four heliports get a special daily rate at Long Stay or Park and Depart.
There is no need to book: you validate on return at Travelex landside or a heliport validation point. It is a feature of Aberdeen found nowhere else in the UK. See our Aberdeen offshore parking page.
EV charging
Aberdeen has charging in its own car parks: four units at the Short Stay entrance and two in Priority.
They are rated 7–22kW and charged at 55p per kWh; bring your own cable, and pre-book at least two hours ahead or pay barrier rates. The airport cannot promise a free charging space. APH Charge & Go includes charging in the price.
The cheapest way to park
Long Stay is the cheapest product we sell at Aberdeen.

Book early and avoid turn-up rates, which the airport says cost up to 60% more. Our cheapest Aberdeen parking page has the detail, and our Aberdeen discount code page shows every saving.
Height limits and larger vehicles
The multi-storey has a 2.2 metre height limit.
The Express car parks take only standard cars that fit a 2.4m by 4.8m bay, with no trailers or vehicles of nine or more seats. For a taller vehicle, Long Stay is the official option. Motorcycles have a covered area in the multi-storey.
Blue Badge parking
Blue Badge holders get 30 minutes free in Short Stay.
Take the ticket and badge to the customer service office in Short Stay before exiting. The airport's assisted travel team helps through the terminal when booked through your airline.
Which car park for which trip
Match the car park to the trip.
| Your trip | Our suggestion | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest price | Official Long Stay | Cheapest, short bus |
| No bus | Airparks Express Aberdeen | Five-minute walk |
| A night or two | Official Short Stay | Two minutes, undercover |
| Tight schedule | Official Priority Parking | Priority Security |
| Electric car, long drive home | APH Charge & Go | Charging included |
| Offshore rotation | Offshore rate | No booking |
Parking in an Aberdeen winter
Aberdeen winters are long, dark and often frosty.
Short Stay and Priority are mostly undercover, which saves clearing a frozen windscreen after a late flight. For Long Stay or the Express car parks, keep a scraper and de-icer in the car and a warm layer in your hand luggage. Allow extra time on the roads in snow.
Busy times
Monday mornings and school holidays are busiest.
Offshore crew changes, business flights to London and holiday departures overlap on Monday mornings. Book ahead and arrive with time to spare. The cheapest products sell out first in the school holidays.
Friday evenings bring the reverse: crews coming off rotation, business travellers heading home and weekend breaks all land at once, so the Long Stay bus and the Express car parks are at their busiest. Allow a few extra minutes at the barrier. Christmas, Easter and the October school break are the other pinch points, and the week the schools break up for summer is the busiest of the year. Booking a month or more ahead for those dates gives the widest choice.
Getting to Aberdeen Airport
The airport is at Dyce, about seven miles north-west of the city centre.
The airport sits at Dyce, north-west of the city, close to the A96 and the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
The airport's postcode. The Express car parks use AB21 0BE.
The nearest railway station, a short bus or taxi ride from the terminal.
Use the postcode in your confirmation: the airport's own car parks use the airport address, while the Express car parks are on International Gate, AB21 0BE.
Parking for families
Families at Aberdeen usually choose between the Long Stay bus and the Short Stay walk.
With young children, car seats and a buggy, the short walk from the multi-storey saves loading everything onto a bus and off again. Most Short Stay bays are under cover, which helps on a wet morning. For a fortnight in the summer holidays, though, Long Stay's lower daily price adds up, and the bus ride is brief. Priority suits families on an early flight who would rather not queue at security with tired children.
Book as early as you can for the school holidays. Aberdeen's cheapest products sell out first when the Scottish schools break up, which is earlier in the summer than in England.
Parking for business trips
Aberdeen is a business airport first, and its car parks reflect that.
Day returns to London and trips to Norway, the Netherlands and the islands are common. For a same-day return, a pre-booked day in Short Stay costs a fraction of the turn-up rate and puts you at check-in within moments. For a longer trip, the Express car parks are a sensible middle ground: a walk rather than a bus, and staff on site around the clock.
Company travellers who book regularly should keep their confirmation emails in one folder; each one names the car park and the postcode to use, which saves a wrong turn on the way in.
Official or off-airport
At most UK airports, off-airport parking is the budget choice; at Aberdeen, the airport's own Long Stay is.
That changes the usual calculation. The Express car parks are not cheaper than the airport here; they sell a walk instead of a bus. APH Charge & Go adds EV charging and a key handover. The airport's own car parks give the widest choice, from Long Stay to Priority, and all of them let you keep your keys.
Choose the airport's car parks for price or for the shortest walk, and the Express car parks for a bus-free trip at a middle price. Our Aberdeen priority parking page shows the car parks we compare, with prices.
Changing or cancelling a booking
Bookings made with us can be cancelled free within 24 hours of booking.
To change dates, amend the booking rather than making a new one. When a return flight is delayed or moved, update the booking before you travel where you can: extra time on the day is charged at the car park's own rate, which costs more than the booked price. Our team can help by phone.
Offshore workers using the offshore rate do not book, so there is nothing to amend: the rate is worked out when you validate the ticket on return.
By train, bus or taxi
Dyce railway station is a short taxi ride from the terminal.
Trains on the line between Aberdeen and Inverness stop at Dyce, and a regular bus runs between the city centre and the airport. Taxis wait outside arrivals. For travellers from Deeside, the Mearns or further north, though, driving and parking is usually the simplest way to reach an early flight, especially when the first trains of the day arrive too late.
For someone dropping you off, Long Stay's free drop-off time is the easiest option; see section 8 for the drop-off choices.
Early flights and late landings
Aberdeen's first departures leave early in the morning, and the last arrivals land late in the evening.
For a dawn flight, the car parks nearest the terminal save the most time: Short Stay and Priority are a walk, and the Express car parks are staffed through the night, so there is someone on site whatever the hour. The Long Stay bus starts early enough for most first-wave departures, but check its hours against your flight before you book.
On the way home, a late landing is when a short walk counts for most. After a delayed evening flight from London or Amsterdam, walking straight to the car beats waiting at a stop, especially in the dark months. Keep the confirmation handy in case you need to call the car park.
Before you book
A few checks save trouble on the day.
Check the height of your vehicle against the multi-storey limit, and whether a roof box or bike rack pushes it over. Check that the product suits your vehicle: the Express car parks take standard cars only. Check the dates and times against your flights, including the return, because extra time is charged at the car park's own rate. And check which terminal you need: the heliports for offshore crews are separate from the main building.
Finally, put the car park's postcode, not the airport's, into the sat nav. The confirmation email has it, along with the booking reference the barrier or the staff may ask for.
Security
The airport's car parks hold the Police Scotland Safe Car Park Award, per the airport.
Safe Car Park Award, per the airport.
At all official car parks.
CCTV, fencing, floodlighting, per the operator.
Reported as their own.
Wherever you park, take valuables with you, keep bags out of sight and lock the car before walking away. Report anything that worries you to the staff on site or the airport's team.
