Two things stand out. The airport's handover products are cheap here: Drop & Go sits near the bottom of the table, and even Meet & Greet costs less than T2 West. And the spread from cheapest to dearest is wide, so the right choice depends heavily on your terminal and trip length.
What changed in 2026
Terminal 1 closed in March 2026, and the airport renumbered every car park into a P1 to P16 scheme the same month.
| Before | Now |
|---|---|
| Terminal 1 multi-storey | Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12), for Terminal 2 |
| T2 East Multi Storey | Meet & Greet (P1) |
| T2 West Multi Storey | P3, barrierless since 25 March 2026 |
| T3 Multi Storey | P14 |
| Terminal 3 Meet & Greet | No new bookings from 27 March; Drop & Go Express (P10) opened 2 April |
Older guides, sat-nav entries and even old booking confirmations can point to places that have changed role. Follow the P-number in your current confirmation. Every page on this site uses the new names.
Parking for Terminal 2
Terminal 2 has the widest choice: T2 West (P3) beside the terminal, Meet & Greet in P1, Mid Stay (P12) under cover, and JetParks 1 and 3.
| Option | Getting to Terminal 2 | Keys |
|---|---|---|
| T2 West (P3) | A short walk | You keep them |
| Meet & Greet (P1) | A few minutes' walk | Reception |
| Mid Stay (P12) | About 10–15 minutes, covered | You keep them |
| JetParks 1 | Shuttle, about 5 minutes | You keep them |
| JetParks 3 | Bus every 15 minutes | You keep them |
Terminal 2 took on most of the old Terminal 1 traffic. See our Terminal 2 parking page for every option.
Parking for Terminal 3
Terminal 3 is served by T3 Multi Storey (P14), Drop & Go Express (P10), T3 Mid Stay (P15) and JetParks 3.
The big change here is the handover. The airport's Terminal 3 Meet & Greet stopped taking bookings, and Drop & Go Express, a minute's walk from the terminal, replaced it. You park in a bay, drop your keys at a kiosk and a driver parks the car. For a person at the kerb, VIP Meet and Greet still serves Terminal 3.
JetParks 1 does not serve Terminal 3, so book JetParks 3 for a budget official option. See our Terminal 3 parking page.
The airport's own car parks
Manchester Airport runs JetParks 1 and 3, Mid Stay, the terminal multi-storeys, Meet & Greet and Drop & Go.
The budget official option, free buses 24/7, three days minimum.
Walk in under cover to T2 (P12) or to T3 (P15).
T2 West (P3) and T3 (P14), beside the terminals, 2m limit.
Terminal 2 only, from P1.
Key kiosks at P10 and P16.
Per the airport.
The airport describes itself as an IPC accredited parking provider and uses number plate recognition throughout. It allows arrival and departure changes of up to six hours without an amendment, and charges overstays only beyond that.
JetParks: the budget official option
JetParks 3 runs buses to both terminals every 15 minutes, day and night; JetParks 1 serves Terminal 2 only, about five minutes by shuttle.
Both need a stay of three days or more, and you keep your keys. JetParks 1, on Thorley Lane, doubles as the airport's free drop-off point: up to an hour at no charge, with a shuttle that runs one way to Terminal 2. Resellers describe its surface as gravel rather than tarmac. See the JetParks page.
Mid Stay and the covered walk
Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12), the old Terminal 1 car park, links to Terminal 2 by a covered walkway in about 10 to 15 minutes. There is no shuttle and no minimum stay.
T3 Mid Stay (P15) on Parade Road is five to ten minutes from Terminal 3, with a three-day minimum. The airport restricts some heavier vehicles at Mid Stay and offers an eligibility checker, so check before booking a large SUV or van. For a three-to-seven-night trip, Mid Stay is often the sweet spot between price and distance. See the Mid Stay page.
Off-airport park and ride
Maple at Carrington has the lowest price; APH at Sharston the shortest off-airport bus.
| Operator | Where | Transfer | Keys |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maple Parking Manchester | Carrington, M31 4RA | Shuttle every 20 min, 20–30 min ride | Reception |
| APH Park & Ride | Sharston, M22 4TE | Bus every 15 min, about 10 min | Reception |
| APH Self Park | Sharston | Same bus | You keep them |
Easy Parking, Vacation Care, Premium Parking and Manchester Park & Ride also appear in our search without guide pages. Our Manchester park and ride page compares the transfers.
Meet and greet
Three styles of handover remain: the airport's Meet & Greet at Terminal 2, its Drop & Go key kiosks, and independent drivers who meet you at the terminal.
The airport's Meet & Greet uses a scanner to record your car in the P1 drop-off bay, then you hand your keys to reception. Drop & Go uses a kiosk and a locker. VIP Meet and Greet meets you outside either terminal, with the airport's drop-off fee paid to the driver on the day, per a reseller listing. See our Manchester meet and greet page.
Dropping off and picking up
Terminal drop-off costs from £5.50 for five minutes, capped at 30 minutes, and must be paid online or by phone by midnight the next day.
Picking someone up in a drop-off area costs £100. Forgetting to pay a drop-off charge costs £100, reduced to £60 within 14 days. There is no pay-on-exit.
Pick-ups at Terminal 2 use a dedicated area in T2 West (P3), up to 15 minutes. For a free drop-off, JetParks 1 allows up to an hour. Blue Badge holders can use the forecourt drop-off areas free, for drop-offs only. Our Manchester drop-off and pick-up guide covers every rule.
The covered walkway between terminals
A covered walkway links Mid Stay Multi Storey with Terminal 2, and the terminals are connected on foot.
It is the reason Mid Stay works without a shuttle: 10 to 15 minutes under cover from P12 to Terminal 2 departures, per the airport. On a wet Manchester morning, that beats waiting at a bus stop. With heavy cases or limited mobility, allow the longer end of the range, or choose a multi-storey or handover beside your terminal.
Price guide and turn-up rates
The multi-storeys take turn-up drivers from £6.60 for 15 minutes to £63.40 for up to 24 hours, per the airport.
| Charge | Amount |
|---|---|
| Multi-storey, up to 15 minutes | £6.60 |
| Multi-storey, up to 24 hours, then each 24 hours | £63.40 |
| Terminal drop-off, up to 10 minutes | £6.50 |
| Drop-off at JetParks 1, up to 60 minutes | Free |

Eight days on the turn-up tariff would cost over £500, several times the pre-booked price of any product we sell. See our full Manchester price list for the whole tariff.
The cheapest way to park at Manchester
Maple is the cheapest product we sell; JetParks 3 the cheapest official one; Drop & Go the cheapest official handover.
Maple's saving comes with a longer shuttle; JetParks 3 keeps the bus short and lets you keep your keys; Drop & Go removes the bus altogether. Minimum stays of three or four days apply to the official options, so for a weekend, Mid Stay P12 is usually the value pick. See our cheap Manchester parking page.
Electric vehicle parking
The airport's pages for the products we sell do not list EV charging. APH's Park & Ride with EV Charging charges your car to full while you are away.
Bring your own cable to APH's reception and arrive with at least 5% charge. It costs about £35 more than standard Park & Ride over eight days on our dates. See our Manchester EV charging page.
Height limits and larger vehicles
The multi-storeys and the airport's handover car parks have a 2m height limit, and trailers are not allowed in any official car park.
Mid Stay restricts some heavier vehicles, with an eligibility checker on the airport's site. APH gives 2.4m. For a tall van, the JetParks and off-airport sites are the places to start; check the operator's rules in your confirmation. Measure the car as loaded, with any roof box, before you book.
Getting to Manchester by car
Manchester Airport sits south of the city at Ringway, next to Junction 5 of the M56.
The airport spur. Follow the signs for Terminal 2 or Terminal 3.
T2 drop-off M90 5PH; T3 forecourt M90 1QX. Car parks have their own.
Manchester Airport station and the Metrolink stop sit by the terminals.
Follow the signs for Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, then the P-number in your confirmation. The station and Metrolink stop by the terminals make rail and tram good alternatives for a drop-off. Each off-airport site has its own postcode, listed on its guide page. Allow extra time on the M56 at peak hours and on summer Saturday mornings.

Security
The airport describes itself as an IPC accredited parking provider; the off-airport operators describe CCTV, patrols, fencing and barriers.
We have not found a Park Mark statement from the airport, and we pass on operators' descriptions without having inspected their sites. Wherever you park, take valuables with you, note your P-number and bay before you walk away, and keep the booking confirmation on your phone for the barrier or kiosk. Most problems on return come from a car that is hard to find, not a car that has been touched.
