Cheapest by type

The cheapest option changes with the kind of parking you want.

Maple: cheapest, furthest

Maple's Carrington site has the lowest price and the longest transfer, 20 to 30 minutes.

For a long trip where the saving adds up, it is hard to beat. For an early flight, the extra time at both ends matters: allow for a wait of up to 20 minutes and a ride of up to half an hour each way. On return, you call Maple to request the shuttle. See the Maple guide.

JetParks 3: cheapest official

JetParks 3 is the lowest-priced car park the airport runs, with buses every 15 minutes to both terminals.

You keep your keys, and the minimum stay is three days. It is the best balance of price and simplicity for most week-long trips, with no phone calls and no queue at a reception desk. See the JetParks guide.

Drop & Go: a cheap handover

The airport's Drop & Go costs only a little more than JetParks 3 on our dates.

You drop your keys at a kiosk, and Drop & Go Express is a minute from Terminal 3. For a handover on a budget, it is the official pick. See the Drop and Go guide.

Low prices without a guide page

Easy Parking, Premium Parking, Vacation Care and Manchester Park & Ride are among the cheaper options on our sheet.

We have not verified their operating details yet, so they have no guide pages. You can book them through the search above; read the confirmation for the address, the transfer and the key arrangements before you travel.

Costs that change the total

A few costs sit outside the booking price.

Maple and the handover products hold your keys, which suits most drivers but not all. VIP's listing adds the airport drop-off fee on the day. Overstays beyond the airport's six-hour grace period are charged per day. Check these before comparing only the headline price.

A lift instead of parking

A lift can be free at JetParks 1, but it costs someone two return journeys.

Dropping off at JetParks 1 is free for up to an hour; the terminal drop-off areas charge from £5.50. Collecting is harder: the pick-up area costs £6.60 for 15 minutes at Terminal 2. Five ways to pay less

Book early, use the code and match the car park to the trip.

1. Book early. Holiday dates fill first.
2. Use the code. 30% off, already in the form.
3. Check the minimum stay. JetParks need three days.
4. Pick by terminal. JetParks 1 is Terminal 2 only.
5. Avoid turning up. The turn-up tariff reaches £63.40 a day.

Cheap and keeping your keys

JetParks 3 is the cheapest place to keep your keys.

Maple and APH Park & Ride take your keys; JetParks, Mid Stay and APH Self Park let you keep them. For keyless or high-value cars, JetParks 3 is the budget answer.

2026 and old prices

Terminal 1 closed in March 2026, and the airport renumbered its car parks into a P1 to P16 scheme at the same time.

Cheap parking guides from before 2026 may list car parks that have changed name or role. Follow the P-number in your confirmation.

Cheap parking for families

For a family, the cheapest headline price is not automatically the cheapest trip.

Maple's longer shuttle with young children and luggage can be hard work at both ends. JetParks 3 costs a little more but keeps the bus short and runs through the night. Drop & Go removes the bus entirely for a small premium. Weigh the saving against the effort for your group.

Short trips on a budget

Minimum stays shape the cheapest option for short trips.

JetParks and Drop & Go need three or four days, so they are out for a weekend. For one or two nights, Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12), which has no minimum, is usually the cheapest official choice, with APH as an off-airport alternative.

Comparing like with like

Check what each price includes before you compare.

Some products hold your keys; some need a phone call on return; one adds a drop-off fee on the day. The code takes 30% off all of them equally, so the order stays the same once it is applied.

Budget parking in winter

The cheapest sites are outdoors, so winter trips need a little preparation.

Leave a scraper and de-icer in the car for the return, and dress for waiting at a bus stop. At JetParks 1, resellers describe a gravel surface, which can be muddy after rain. Mid Stay P12 is a multi-storey, so the car stays dry and the walk to Terminal 2 is under cover.

Security at the budget end

The airport's JetParks use number plate recognition; Maple describes a staffed site with CCTV, fencing and barriers.

Manchester Airport describes itself as an IPC accredited parking provider and uses number plate recognition across its car parks. It does not publish a Park Mark statement, so we do not claim one. The off-airport operators describe their own security, and we pass on their accounts without having inspected the sites.
