What changed in 2026
The airport's Meet & Greet now serves Terminal 2 only, from P1. Terminal 3 bookings stopped on 27 March 2026, and Drop & Go Express opened for Terminal 3 on 2 April.
That leaves three ways to hand over your car at Manchester: the airport's Meet & Greet at Terminal 2, the airport's Drop & Go key kiosks, and independent services that meet you at the terminal. Many guides online still describe the old Terminal 3 service.

The airport's Meet & Greet (P1)
Drive into a bay in P1, let the scanner record your car, hand your keys in at reception and walk a few minutes to Terminal 2.
P1 is the former T2 East Multi Storey, on Palma Avenue. The minimum stay is four days and the height limit is 2m. Motorcycles cannot use it. See the official Meet and Greet page.
Drop & Go: the airport's key kiosk
At Drop & Go you park in a bay, drop your keys at a kiosk and a driver parks the car.
Drop & Go Express (P10) is a minute from Terminal 3; Drop & Go (P16) is five minutes from Terminal 3 with a bus to Terminal 2. Keys come back from a locker on return. It is one of the lowest-priced official products. See the Drop and Go page.
VIP Meet and Greet
VIP Meet and Greet sends a driver to meet you outside your departure terminal, at Terminal 2 or 3.
Call 15 to 20 minutes ahead. A reseller listing notes the airport's drop-off fee is paid to the driver, with small charges for vans and late returns. See the VIP page.

Travelling with children
A handover saves the bus with cases and a pushchair.
For Terminal 3, Drop & Go Express is a minute's walk. For Terminal 2, the airport's Meet & Greet is a few minutes. VIP brings the driver to you. Each avoids a car park search and a transfer at both ends. We set out prices and transfer details on our Manchester park and ride page.
Vehicle limits
The airport's handover car parks share a 2m height limit, and trailers are not allowed.
VIP returns overheight vehicles to the drop-off zone only, per the listing. For a van, check the operator's rules before booking.
Late returns
The airport only charges overstays if you leave more than six hours after your booked time.
Independent operators set their own late fees; VIP's listing gives a daily charge. Call the operator as soon as a flight is delayed.
Getting the car ready
A handover takes a couple of minutes when the car is ready.
- Empty the car. Valuables and anything you need for the trip.
- Separate your keys. Car key only.
- Note the mileage. A dashboard photo helps if you need to query anything.
- Check fuel or charge. Enough for the drive home.
Match the handover to your terminal
Terminal 2: the airport's Meet & Greet or VIP. Terminal 3: Drop & Go Express or VIP.
Booking the airport's Meet & Greet for a Terminal 3 flight means a longer walk across the airport, since it serves Terminal 2 only. Check the terminal on your ticket before you choose.
Passengers who need help
A handover gives the shortest walk after parking.
Drop & Go Express is about a minute from Terminal 3, and the airport's Meet & Greet a few minutes from Terminal 2. VIP brings the driver to the terminal itself. Book airport assistance with the airline in advance for help inside the terminal.
What a handover costs at Manchester
On our sample dates, handovers at Manchester cost less than parking yourself in T2 West.
Drop & Go is among the cheapest official products, and even the airport's Meet & Greet costs less than T2 West over eight days. That makes a handover good value here, especially on longer trips where the minimum stay is no obstacle. Booking a handover
Book the airport's handovers in advance; they are pre-book products.
Both Meet & Greet and Drop & Go need a booking before you arrive, and both have a four-day minimum. The airport's FAQs allow changes of up to six hours either way without an amendment. For bigger changes, amend the booking before you travel. Independent operators set their own rules, which are in your confirmation.
Why guides disagree
Many pages still describe Terminal 3 Meet & Greet and the old car park names.
The 2026 changes came quickly: Terminal 1 closed, car parks were renumbered, and the Terminal 3 service stopped taking bookings. We describe each product as the airport's own pages set it out now, so trust the P-number in your confirmation over an older guide. Any page that still mentions Terminal 1 was written before March 2026. Our pages are checked against the airport's own car park pages.
Where the cars are kept
The airport's handover cars stay on its own sites; independents describe their own compounds.
Manchester Airport describes itself as an IPC accredited parking provider and uses number plate recognition across its car parks. It does not publish a Park Mark statement, so we do not claim one. The off-airport operators describe their own security, and we pass on their accounts without having inspected the sites.
