Handovers are cheap at Manchester: Drop & Go sits near the bottom, and even Meet & Greet costs less than T2 West on our dates.
Turn-up tariff
The multi-storeys (P3 and P14) take turn-up drivers, charged by the quarter hour at first, then by the day.

Drop-off and pick-up charges
Short stops are charged separately from parking, in the drop-off areas and the Terminal 2 pick-up area.

Pay online or by phone by midnight the next day. There is no way to pay on exit, and an AutoPay account can take the charge automatically after each visit, which suits regular drivers.
Penalties
Manchester's penalties are steep, so the rules are worth knowing.

Overstays and the grace period
The airport charges overstays only after six hours past your booked time.
Changes of up to six hours need no amendment, per the airport's FAQs. Beyond that, the airport's overstay rate applies per day. Off-airport operators set their own: Maple lists £15 a day.

Why prices differ
Distance from the terminal and who parks the car set the price.
Off-airport sites with longer transfers cost least. The airport's shuttle car parks come next, then the walk-in Mid Stay, then the terminal multi-storeys. Handovers are unusually cheap at Manchester, which makes them worth a look.
When prices rise
School holidays, bank holidays and Friday departures cost more.
Book as soon as your flights are fixed. The table here uses one November week; your dates will price differently. Early-morning departures in the summer holidays are usually the dearest dates of the year, and the cheapest sites sell out first.
Names in older price lists
Terminal 1 closed in March 2026, and the airport renumbered its car parks into a P1 to P16 scheme at the same time.
Older price lists may name car parks that have since changed. Our table uses the current names and P-numbers.
Getting the best price
Three habits keep the cost down.
- Book early. Prices rise as dates fill.
- Apply the code. 30% off, already in the form.
- Choose by trip length. Budget sites for long trips, walk-in for short.
Security
The airport's car parks use number plate recognition.
Manchester Airport describes itself as an IPC accredited parking provider and uses number plate recognition across its car parks. It does not publish a Park Mark statement, so we do not claim one. The off-airport operators describe their own security, and we pass on their accounts without having inspected the sites.
