01Who we are
Britain Car Parks is a trading name of Britain Car Parks Ltd, registered in England and Wales, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. This document covers hotel, flight, car hire and lounge bookings. Airport parking is covered by our terms and conditions.
02Our role
For hotels, flights, car hire and lounges, Britain Car Parks acts as a booking and comparison channel. We show inventory supplied by travel partners and take your booking and payment. The hotel, airline, rental company or lounge operator delivers the service and is responsible for it. Parking bookings follow our parking terms and the operator's own conditions, not the rules in this document.
03Separate products, separate contracts
Booking more than one product in a single basket creates a separate contract for each. Each has its own reference, its own supplier, its own payment and its own terms. Cancelling one does not cancel the others.
04Hotel bookings
Hotel descriptions, photos, facilities and availability come from our travel partners and the properties themselves. A hotel is confirmed only once we have issued you a booking reference; appearing in search results is not a confirmation.
05Hotel prices
The price shown is the amount you pay to complete the booking. Some properties collect local taxes, city taxes, resort fees or their own parking charges directly when you arrive. Where a property does this, we show it on the rate before you book.
06Hotel cancellations
Hotel rates are either refundable up to a stated deadline or non-refundable. Which one you are buying, and the deadline where there is one, is shown before you pay. Cancelling a non-refundable rate, or a refundable rate after its deadline, means losing the amount paid.
07Hotel amendments
Changing a confirmed hotel booking may change the price, may mean cancelling and rebooking, and may not be possible at all. Where a change is possible, the new price applies from the moment it is made.
08Hotel no-shows
If you do not arrive and have not cancelled within the permitted time, the property may keep the full booking amount. Tell us or the property as early as you can when your plans change.
09Responsibility for hotel services
Room allocation, cleanliness, facilities, staffing and everything else about running the property are the hotel's responsibility. Complaints about the stay are resolved fastest when you raise them with the property at the time.
10Flight bookings
A flight is not confirmed because it appears in search results. It is confirmed once the airline has ticketed or confirmed it and a reference has been issued to you. Availability and price can change between search and ticketing.
11Flight prices
The final price combines the base fare, taxes, airline charges and any optional services you choose, such as hold baggage, seat selection and priority boarding. Optional services are shown separately and added only when you select them.
12Flight payments and merchant of record
For flight and hotel bookings, our travel partner may act as merchant of record and process the payment. Where that happens, your card statement may show the partner's name rather than Britain Car Parks. Your confirmation names the supplier so you can match the two.
13Flight fare rules
Fares can be refundable, partly refundable, non-refundable, changeable, or a mix of these. The rules for your fare are shown before you book and decide what happens when you need to change or cancel.
14Flight amendments
Where a change is allowed, the airline's change fee, any fare difference, any tax difference and a servicing charge may all apply. Changes are possible only while the airline allows them and are never guaranteed.
15Flight cancellations and refunds
Whether a cancellation leads to a refund depends on your fare rules. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Airline processing times vary and are outside our control.
16Airline schedule changes, delays and cancellations
Airlines control their schedules and operational decisions. We pass on significant changes as soon as our travel partner receives them and will help you understand your options, but we cannot direct an airline's response. Where a delay or cancellation gives you rights under UK261 or similar rules, you claim them from the airline.
17Flight servicing
Airline servicing, such as name corrections, date changes and refund requests, is handled by our travel partner on your behalf. The outcome depends on the airline's decision and its own timescales.
18Airport control period
In the hours before departure, the airline takes operational control of your booking. During that time, contacting the airline or its airport staff directly is faster than going through us.
19Baggage and seats
Baggage allowances vary by airline and by fare within the same airline. Extra baggage bought at the airport usually costs several times the online price. Seat selection, where offered, is an optional paid service.
20Passenger and guest details
Enter names exactly as they appear on the travel document. Airlines charge to correct a name, and some require a full rebooking at the current fare. Check every passenger's details before you pay.
21Passports, visas and travel requirements
Meeting the entry requirements of your destination, and of any country you pass through, is your responsibility. That includes passport validity, visas, proof of onward travel and health requirements. Check them before you book.
22Car hire
Car hire is supplied by independent rental companies through a rental network. The vehicle group, package, cover, fees and mileage policy on the quote are the supplier's, as are the conditions at the rental desk, including driving licence, minimum age, deposit and card requirements.
The driver age and country of residence you give when you search decide eligibility and price. Changing either makes the quote invalid and needs a new search.
23Airport lounges
Lounge access is sold per person for a single visit and follows the lounge's own conditions, including maximum stay, dress code, age policy and capacity. Lounges check names against boarding passes on entry, so passenger names must match your flight booking.
24Supplier conditions
The conditions of the hotel, airline, rental company or lounge operator apply to the service they provide, alongside this document. Where they are shown to you before booking, they form part of your contract with that supplier.
25Information from third parties
Descriptions, images, ratings, facilities and availability come from suppliers and travel partners. We take reasonable care in showing what we receive, and we are not responsible for mistakes that start with a supplier.
26Events outside our control
We are not liable for the effects of events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, airport or airspace closures, industrial action, civil unrest, public health measures and airline or supplier decisions.
27Limitation of liability
We are responsible for our own mistakes, such as errors in taking or passing on your booking or in the payment we process. We are not responsible for the independent performance of suppliers whose services you buy through the site. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.
28Combined travel services
Booking more than one travel service for the same trip may create a package or a linked travel arrangement under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Where that applies, we tell you when you book and give you the information the law requires.
29Checking your confirmation
Check names, dates, destinations, times and terms as soon as your confirmation arrives, and tell us straight away when anything is wrong. Quick corrections are cheaper and more often possible than late ones.
30Refunds
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. The time to clear depends on the supplier, the payment processor and your card issuer, and is usually five to twenty working days for airline refunds.
31Customer support
For parking, contact Britain Car Parks on 0333 5678 678 or info@britaincarparks.co.uk. Hotel, flight, car hire and lounge enquiries go through the support channel named on your confirmation, which reaches the travel partner holding the booking.
32Complaints
We handle complaints about our own service. Complaints about a supplier should go to that supplier promptly, and we will help you reach them. Raising a problem while you are still at the hotel, airport or rental desk gives the best chance of fixing it.
33Changes to these terms
We update these terms from time to time. Existing bookings keep the terms that applied when they were made, together with the supplier conditions shown at that time.
34Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
