The Park Inn catch
Park Inn's Hoppa bus is paid for each traveller. Reseller listings give £11 return per person.
For one or two travellers, Park Inn stays the cheapest trip. For a family of four, the bus fares close most of the gap to Purple Parking, where the bus is free. Do the sum for your group.
The cheapest official parking
The official Park & Ride is the cheapest parking Heathrow runs. It costs more than the off-airport sites but lets you keep your keys.

Cheap meet and greet

Getting a lift instead
A lift costs £7 per entry to the drop-off zone, and pick-ups on the forecourt are not allowed.

The ULEZ can change the sum
Heathrow sits inside London's ULEZ, so non-compliant cars pay a daily charge.
With self-park car parks, you pay for the days you drive in and out. With meet and greet, extra days can apply when a driver moves the car. Check your car on Transport for London's checker, and add the charge to the price before you compare.

What you trade for a low price
The cheapest sites tend to hold your keys, serve fewer terminals and publish less detail.
That is not a reason to avoid them, but read the confirmation carefully. The official car parks cost more and tell you more. The operators in the middle, such as Purple Parking and Edward Lloyd, give a fair balance of price and detail.

Cheap parking on long trips
The longer the trip, the more the daily price matters. Over two weeks, the gap between the cheapest site and Terminal Parking runs to hundreds of pounds.
On a fortnight away, even a small difference per day adds up. Look at the per-day column in the table above and multiply it by your nights away. For very long trips, check whether the operator moves cars to another site after a set number of days, as Purple Parking does after 16 days.
Security at the cheapest car parks
Purple Parking describes a Park Mark Safer Parking Award, CCTV and fencing. Park Inn and Express Parking publish little on security.
Heathrow describes round-the-clock patrols, automated barriers and bright lighting across its own car parks. We have not found a Park Mark statement for Heathrow's own car parks, so we do not claim one. The off-airport operators describe their own security, and we report what each says rather than claiming an award on their behalf.
