Official car parks at the South Terminal
Gatwick runs five parking products at the South Terminal: Short Stay, Premium Short Stay, Mid Stay, Long Stay and Valet. Official prices match the North Terminal, and South adds a £25 evening rate in Short Stay.
Car Parks 1, 2 and 3, postcode RH6 0LL, a covered walk of about four minutes. Short Stay details.
The closest bays, in Car Park 3 on the same level as the terminal. The walk takes about two minutes.
Pre-book only, postcode RH6 0NY, with a six-minute walk and no height limit. Mid Stay details.
Postcode RH6 0NY. Free bus every 10 to 12 minutes, 24 hours a day, and the first two hours are free. Long Stay details.

Short Stay at South costs £25 flat from 5pm to 2am when booked in advance. It suits a late pick-up or a short evening visit.

Meet and greet meeting points at South
At the South Terminal most meet and greet firms meet you on Level 1 of Car Park 3 or in the Approved Operator lane on the forecourt. Purple Parking and AMAG use different points, so check your confirmation before you set off.

Park and ride to the South Terminal
Every off-airport park and ride we compare at Gatwick runs its shuttle to both terminals, so you pay the same price for South as for North.
AVPS is at Lingfield, 10 to 15 minutes away by shuttle. Cophall is at Copthorne and runs transfers 24 hours a day. APH and Airparks share a site on Copthorne Road, RH10 3PD, with a shuttle of about 10 to 12 minutes.
On the way home from the South Terminal, APH picks up from bus stops 7 and 8. The other operators give their pick-up point in your confirmation.
Height limits at the South Terminal
South Short Stay, including Premium Short Stay in Car Park 3, has a 2.0 metre height limit. The meet and greet firms that hand over in Car Park 3 work to the same 2.0 metre cap.

For a van or a car with a roof box, Mid Stay South is the closest car park with no height limit. Long Stay South also takes vehicles of any height.
Drop-off and pick-up at the South Terminal
Dropping off on the South Terminal forecourt costs £10 for the first ten minutes, the same as at North. The charge rose from £7 on 6 January 2026.
For a free drop-off, use Long Stay South. The first two hours are free, and the bus runs to the terminal. To collect someone, the express pick-up bays are on the ground floor of Car Park 3 and charge normal Short Stay rates. Our Gatwick drop-off page covers payment and Blue Badge rules.
Getting between South and North
A free shuttle train links the South and North Terminals, running every few minutes in both directions.
The ride takes a couple of minutes, so a car park at the other terminal still works when prices or height limits suit you better. Long Stay is the exception, because each Long Stay bus only serves its own terminal. Your airline decides which terminal you use. Jet2, for example, flies from the South Terminal. Hotels and the railway station at South
The Hilton London Gatwick connects to the South Terminal, and the Bloc Hotel sits inside the terminal building.
