How meet and greet works at Gatwick
You drive to a set meeting point near your terminal, hand your keys to a driver and walk to check-in. When you land, you call, and the driver brings your car back to the same area.
- Call ahead. Most operators ask for a call 10 to 20 minutes before you arrive.
- Drive to the meeting point. Follow the signs for your terminal, then for the car park or forecourt lane in your confirmation.
- Hand over. The driver checks the car with you and takes the keys.
- Walk in. The terminal is a few minutes away on foot.
- Call on return. Ring once you have your bags. The driver meets you at the handover point.
No shuttle, no hunting for a space and no bus with heavy cases. That is the whole appeal, and it counts double after a long flight home.
Where each service meets you
Gatwick meet and greet firms use three kinds of meeting point: approved operator bays in Short Stay, approved operator bays on the forecourt, and a few hotel or off-site points.

Meet and greet against the official Valet
The official Valet keeps your car on the airport site, while off-airport meet and greet drivers take it to their own compounds. Valet also sells extras that most off-airports do not.
Official Valet
Drop-off in Short Stay Level 2 at either terminal, about two minutes' walk. Car kept in Gatwick's secure facility. Extras: Premium Car Care and a two-hour EV charge.
Off-airport meet and greet
Lower prices on our sample dates. Cars stored in the operator's compound, from a few minutes' drive to several miles away.
Valet requires a key handover like every meet and greet service, and it is pre-book only. Height limits are 2.1 metres at North and 2 metres at South. See the Official Valet page for the full process.
Forecourt fees and exit tickets
Gatwick charges £10 for the first ten minutes on the forecourt, so check whether your operator covers it. Several build the charge or an exit ticket into the price.
APH Meet & Greet Forecourt includes the forecourt charge, provided your registration is correct.
LG Parking and Bubble hand you a pre-paid exit ticket for the car park.
Tudor Rose includes a £10 access fee each way.
Sure lists a £20 daily charge for late returns. LG's exit ticket lasts ten minutes.

Vehicle rules to check before you book
Meet and greet firms set their own vehicle limits, and several refuse vans, minibuses or prestige cars.
Ace, Bubble and Sure's South service cap vehicles at 2 metres. Sure's North service caps them at 1.8 metres.
Sure refuses long-wheelbase vans. AMAG takes them for an extra fee.
I Love and APH take minibuses up to 9 seats. Purple Parking takes vehicles with fewer than 8 seats.
Ace excludes Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati and Rolls-Royce.
Security at meet and greet compounds
Each operator describes its own compound security, from fencing and CCTV to 24-hour staff. AMAG says it holds Park Mark approval, and Maple says it belongs to Gatwick's Approved Operator Scheme.
We have not independently verified the operators' security claims, so we report what each says. Take valuables and any spare keys with you, and photograph the car at handover for your own record.

It depends on the operator. Most use approved operator bays in the Short Stay car parks or on the terminal forecourt. Your confirmation gives the exact car park and level.
Several operators include it. APH Meet & Greet Forecourt includes the forecourt charge, LG Parking and Bubble give you a pre-paid exit ticket, and Tudor Rose includes its airport access fee.
Meet and greet drivers store your car at their own compound off the airport. Gatwick's official Valet keeps it in a secure facility on the airport and offers extras such as a hand wash.
I Love Valet adds an exterior wash and dressed tyres. The official Valet sells a Premium Car Care hand wash, dry and vacuum as an extra.
It varies. AMAG says its Hookwood site is about four minutes' drive away. Purple Parking says up to six miles.
Some operators refuse vans and minibuses. Sure refuses long-wheelbase vans and motorhomes, and AMAG charges £10 extra for long-wheelbase vans. Check your vehicle against the operator's rules first.
