About Official Valet Parking
Official Valet Parking is Gatwick Airport's own meet and greet service. You hand over your car in Short Stay at either terminal, and staff keep it in a secure facility on the airport.
Official Valet is run by Gatwick Airport. You drive to Short Stay, hand your keys to a member of staff and walk to the terminal in around two minutes. At North the handover is in Car Park 6, Level 2. At South it is in Car Park 1, Level 2.
Your car stays in a secure airport facility while you are away, and your keys are stored securely. Gatwick says your car will be ready and waiting when you land, based on the time you give in your booking. Give staff any PIN codes the car needs.
Valet is pre-book only and requires a key handover. It costs more than most off-airport meet and greet services, but it is the only one that keeps your car on the airport site. It also sells extras the others do not.
Location and getting there
Gatwick sits beside the M23, with a spur road from Junction 9 to both terminals. Follow the signs for your terminal's Short Stay: Car Park 6 at North (RH6 0PJ) or Car Park 1 at South (RH6 0LL), then go to Level 2.
The handover itself takes a few minutes. Allow for it on top of the two-minute walk to check-in.

Before you travel
A few minutes of preparation makes the day smoother at Valet. For Valet, have your return flight details ready and tell staff about any PIN or immobiliser codes.
Your confirmation has the number to call on the way in.

A hand wash, hand dry and interior vacuum while you are away.
Two hours on a Type 2 22kW charger, up to 44kWh. Pre-book it and arrive with 20% battery or more.
Add extras when you book your parking. The EV charge in particular must be booked in advance.

Height limits
Valet takes vehicles up to 2.1 metres at North and 2 metres at South, because the handover is inside the Short Stay car parks. Taller vehicles should look at Long Stay, which has no height limit.
Arriving at Official Valet Parking
Follow the directions in your booking confirmation to reach Official Valet Parking. The steps below show how the day works.
- Drive to Short Stay: Car Park 6 at North or Car Park 1 at South.
- Go to Level 2 and meet the Valet team.
- Hand over your keys and any PIN codes.
- Walk to the terminal, about two minutes.
Collecting your car on return
Keep your booking confirmation on your phone for the trip home. Coming back takes a few simple steps.
- Collect your bags and walk to the same Short Stay level.
- Your car is ready at the time you gave in your booking.
- Collect your keys and drive away.
