Shuttle facts at a glance
Every shuttle is free, entry is by number plate and your keys stay with you. Long Stay buses come about every 15 minutes, with a 3 to 5-minute ride.
Cameras read your plate at the barrier.
No key drop in either zone.
It is not sold at the gate.
JetParks park and ride
JetParks 1 and 2 are the cheapest park and ride at East Midlands, with a transfer of about 12 to 15 minutes. Jet Park 1 costs a few pounds less than Jet Park 2 over eight days.
JetParks is the choice for travellers who want the lowest price and do not mind a longer bus ride. Allow extra time on busy mornings, especially in the summer holidays. Our JetParks page has both prices.
Long Stay park and ride
Long Stay 1 and 2 cost slightly more than JetParks, with a much shorter 3 to 5-minute bus ride. Long Stay 2 is also walkable, in 15 to 20 minutes.
The gap between Jet Park 1 and Long Stay 1 is under a pound a day on our sample dates. For a shorter bus ride, many drivers pay it. The first hour at Long Stay 2 is free, which also makes it the airport's free waiting car park. See the Long Stay page.

Park and ride in winter
The airport closes JetParks and Long Stay over winter, so official park and ride stops for the season. Mid Stay and meet and greet cover the gap.
The airport closes these two zones for the winter season. No results for your dates usually means that. Mid Stay is then the cheapest official car park you can book.
Mid Stay
A 5–7 minute walk. The cheapest official car park open in winter.

Security at the shuttle car parks
JetParks and Long Stay are official airport car parks, with number plate recognition at the entry and exit barriers.
We have not confirmed a Park Mark award for East Midlands from the airport, so we do not claim one. Your plate must match your booking for the barrier to open, which also means nobody can drive your car out without it matching a booking.
Leave nothing valuable on show, and take important items with you on the bus.
Who park and ride suits
Park and ride suits week-long trips, budget travellers and anyone happy with a short bus ride. It suits travellers in winter less well, because both shuttle zones close.
The low daily rate adds up to a real saving.
JetParks is the cheapest product we bring you here.
No handover, unlike meet and greet.
Easier on the bus than with a car full of cases.
With young children or a lot of luggage, compare meet and greet too. At East Midlands it costs about the same as Long Stay, and our East Midlands meet and greet page compares both services.
Getting to the shuttle car parks
Leave the M1 at junction 24 from the north or 23A from the south, follow the A453, then the JetParks or Long Stay signs. Each zone has its own entrance off the airport road.
Set your sat-nav using the directions in your booking confirmation, not just the terminal postcode. The terminal postcode, DE74 2SA, takes you to the airport, and the zone signs take it from there. Our East Midlands parking discount codes page explains how to apply the code at checkout.

M1 junction 23A, then the A453.
Inside each zone, clearly signed.
How much time to allow
Add the wait for the bus and the ride to your normal airport timings. From JetParks, allow around 30 minutes from arrival to the terminal door on a busy day. From Long Stay, allow around 20.
Buses from Long Stay come about every 15 minutes, so the worst-case wait is a quarter of an hour. The ride itself takes 3 to 5 minutes. JetParks transfers take about 12 to 15 minutes. Check your airline's advice for check-in times and add your transfer on top.
Booking and cancellation terms
JetParks must be booked in advance, and Free cancellation runs for 24 hours after booking on bookings made with us.
Prices rise as your dates get closer, so booking early gives you the best rate. Make sure the number plate on your booking matches your car, because the barriers read it on the way in and out. You can compare the choices on our East Midlands short stay parking page.
When your search shows no JetParks or Long Stay results, check the dates against the winter season. The closures remove both zones from sale.
