The catches at the budget end
JetParks is pre-book only, has the longest transfer, and closes over winter. Midlands Parking adds a £6 airport charge at drop-off and at collection.
Midlands Parking hands over in Short Stay 1, where the airport charges £6 at drop-off and £6 at collection. Add £12 to the booking price when you compare it.
None of these is a reason to avoid the budget options. They are reasons to plan. Allow extra time for the JetParks shuttle, check the season, and add the £12 to Midlands Parking's price before you compare.
Cheap parking in winter
With JetParks and Long Stay closed for winter, the cheapest official car park is Mid Stay 1. Midlands Parking's non-flex price undercuts it on our sample dates.
The airport closes these two zones for the winter season. No results for your dates usually means that. Mid Stay is then the cheapest official car park you can book.
Even with the £12 in airport charges, Midlands Parking's non-flex meet and greet costs about the same as Mid Stay 1 over eight days on our sample. For a winter trip, it is worth comparing both totals for your dates.
Ways to cut the cost further
Book early, apply our code, and match the car park to the length of your trip. Each step lowers the price without changing where you park.
- Book early. Prices rise as your travel date gets closer.
- Use our code. It is already in the search form and takes 30% off the standard price.
- Match the zone to the trip. Short Stay suits one to three days. Beyond that, the shuttle zones save more.
- Check your plate. It must match your booking, so you avoid a problem at the barrier.

Parking or a lift to the airport
A drop-off costs from £5 and a pick-up from £6, plus four journeys for the driver. On a longer trip, pre-booked parking is often the simpler choice.
A lift can look free, but the driver makes two round trips, pays to drop off and pays again to collect. When the driver lives a distance away, the fuel alone can approach a week's JetParks booking. For a short trip or a nearby driver, a lift still makes sense.

On a trip of one to three days, the price gap between zones shrinks to a few pounds. That makes Short Stay or Mid Stay the better value for many short trips, even though JetParks is cheaper per day.
The daily difference between Jet Park 1 and Short Stay 3 is under £3 on our eight-day sample. Over a weekend, that is a small sum for a walk of one to five minutes instead of a shuttle ride of 12 to 15 minutes. For a business day trip, where every minute counts, the shorter walk is usually worth paying for.
Search your exact dates to compare. Short stays are priced differently from week-long ones, and the gap between zones may be smaller or larger than our sample suggests.
