About Official EMA Jet Parks 1 & 2
Jet Parks 1 and 2 are the cheapest official car parks at East Midlands Airport. Both sit in the airport's budget zone, with a free shuttle to the terminal and number plate entry.
Jet Parks 1 and 2 form the airport's budget zone, the furthest of the four official zones from the terminal. A free shuttle runs to the terminal, and the transfer takes about 12 to 15 minutes. Entry and exit use number plate recognition, so there is no ticket to keep.
The two car parks work the same way. You park, lock up, keep your keys and walk to the shuttle stop. The difference is the price: Jet Park 1 is the cheapest product we bring you at East Midlands, and Jet Park 2 costs a few pounds more for eight days.
JetParks is sold on a pre-book basis only, and the airport closes it over the winter season. It is the natural choice for a week or more away between spring and autumn, when price matters most.
Location and getting there
Leave the M1 at junction 24 from the north or 23A from the south, then follow the A453 towards the airport. As you arrive, follow the JetParks signs rather than the terminal signs. The terminal postcode, DE74 2SA, brings you to the airport, and the signs take you to the right entrance.
JetParks is further from the terminal than the other zones, so give yourself a few extra minutes for the drive round and the shuttle. On a busy summer morning, allow around 30 minutes from arriving at the car park to reaching the terminal door.

How the JetParks shuttle works
The shuttle is free and runs between the JetParks zone and the terminal. The transfer takes about 12 to 15 minutes, the longest of the four zones, so allow extra time on the way out, especially on busy summer mornings.
On the way home, head to the JetParks stop outside the terminal and ride back. Your plate opens the exit barrier, so there is nothing to pay on the way out.
JetParks and the winter season
The airport closes JetParks over the winter season, along with Long Stay. When your dates return no JetParks results, that is the usual reason. Mid Stay is then the cheapest official car park, a 5 to 7-minute walk from the terminal, and Midlands Parking meet and greet costs less still on our sample dates.
