*8-day quotes for 7 to 14 November 2026. Search above for your own dates.
The pattern is clear: the closer to the terminal, the higher the price. Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 and Priority sit at the top; the off-airport sites and Car Parks 7 and 5 at the bottom. The longest transfer we sell is about 14 minutes by bus, from Garretts Green.
Turn-up tariffs
The terminal car parks and Car Parks 4 and 5 charge £67 a day to turn up; Car Park 7 charges £51 for the first 24 hours, then £44 a day.

Eight days at £67 cost £536 at Car Parks 1 to 5; booked with us, Car Park 5 costs £83.99 for the same 8 days, £452.01 less. At Car Park 7, 8 turn-up days cost £359 (£51 for the first 24 hours, then £44 a day). The airport charges turn-up parking per 24 hours or part of 24 hours. Our Birmingham Airport parking prices guide lists every tariff.
The cheapest ways to park
Green Oaks is the cheapest product we sell; Car Park 7 the cheapest official; Car Park 5 the cheapest where you keep your keys.
Each step down in price adds a little distance or takes your keys. Per day, Green Oaks costs £5.60 and Car Park 1 £14.70. For 8 days, Green Oaks costs £39.19 less than Car Park 5 and £72.77 less than Car Park 1; our cheap Birmingham Airport parking guide sets out what each price asks of you.
On-airport BHX car parks
The airport runs Car Parks 1, 2 and 3, 3 Priority, 4, 5 and 7, plus Valet Parking. You keep your keys at all but Car Park 7 and the Valet.
| Car park | Getting to the terminal | Keys | Height |
|---|---|---|---|

| Official Car Parks 2 & 3 | Walk, about a minute | Yours | 2.05m |
| Official Car Park 3 Priority | Walk, ground-level bay | Yours | 2.05m |

| Official Car Park 5 | Walk 5–10 min or free bus | Yours | No limit |
| Official Car Park 7 | Courtesy bus from across the runway | Left at the office | Not stated |
| Official Valet Parking | Valet cabin by the terminal | Left with the chauffeur | Not stated |
The airport says all its car parks are within ten minutes of check-in. It also sells Premium Pre-booked, inside the Premium Set Down car park: under a minute from the terminal, no height limit, 2.9 × 4.82 m bays, 4 Blue Badge bays and staff on hand 24/7. It is not in our price sheet.
The multi-storeys by the terminal
Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 are undercover multi-storeys opposite the terminal, about a minute's walk from check-in.
Car Park 1 has a 2.15 m height limit (2.05 m in Car Parks 2 and 3) and dedicated motorcycle spaces; Car Parks 2 and 3 cost less for the same walk. Car Park 3 Priority adds pre-book-only ground-level bays marked in blue. For a night or two away, these are hard to beat. Car Parks 2 and 3 cost £102.89 for 8 days and Car Park 1 £117.57; our Birmingham Airport short stay parking guide compares them.
Car Parks 4, 5 and 7
The surface car parks trade a short walk or bus for a lower price.
Car Park 4 has a covered walkway of three to five minutes and a 24-hour shuttle. Car Park 5 is a walk of five to ten minutes, with a free bus and no height limit, and is the airport's suggestion for pick-ups. Car Park 7 sits across the runway at a different postcode; pre-booked customers leave their keys at the office and ride a courtesy bus. For 8 days, Car Park 7 costs £66.49, Car Park 5 £83.99 and Car Park 4 £91.00; our Birmingham Airport long stay parking guide compares them.
Off-airport BHX car parks
Green Oaks and APL are the cheapest; Airparks and APH run sites at Garretts Green, Bickenhill and the NEC.
| Product | Transfer | Keys |
|---|---|---|
| Green Oaks Park & Ride | Shuttle, 04:00–23:59 | Held |
| APL Park & Ride | About 10 min, 24/7 | Held |
| Airparks Drop & Go | About 14 min | Held |
| APH Self Park | About 14 min | Yours |
| Airparks Short Run | About 5 min | Yours, per Airparks |
| APH Express | About 3 min, 24/7 | Yours |
Mackadown Lane in Garretts Green and Bickenhill Parkway are Airparks sites, and APH sells products from both; APH Express is at the NEC West Car Park. Buses take from about 3 minutes (APH Express) to about 14 minutes (Garretts Green); our Birmingham Airport park and ride guide has the timetables.
Choosing the right car park for your trip
Short trips favour the multi-storeys; long trips the surface and off-airport sites.
| Your trip | Our suggestion | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest price | Green Oaks Park & Ride | Cheapest we sell |
| Cheapest official | Official Car Park 7 | Keys at the office |
| Official, keep your keys | Official Car Park 5 | Walk or free bus |
| A covered walk | Official Car Park 4 | Three to five minutes |
| A night or two | Official Car Parks 2 & 3 | A minute from check-in |
| A tall vehicle | Official Car Park 5 | No height limit |
| Hand over at the terminal | Official Valet Parking | Official valet |
Whichever you choose, our code takes up to 30% off the booked price, from £19.20 on Green Oaks to £64.78 on Priority for 8 days. The code does not apply to turn-up prices or to drop-off and pick-up charges.
Meet and greet at Birmingham Airport
Three products take your keys at the start: the official Valet, Car Park 7 for pre-booked customers, and Maple Parking.
The Valet, run with NCP, uses a cabin beside the terminal. Car Park 7's handover is at its office across the runway, followed by a courtesy bus. Maple meets you outside departures. For 8 days, Car Park 7 costs £66.49, the Valet £98.00 and Maple £119.00; our Birmingham Airport meet and greet guide compares them.
Keeping your keys, or handing them over
At Birmingham, whether you keep your keys depends on the product more than the operator.
| You keep your keys | You hand them over |
|---|---|
| Car Parks 1, 2 & 3, 3 Priority, 4 and 5 | Car Park 7 (pre-booked) and the Valet |
| APH Self Park, Short Run and Express | APH and Airparks Drop & Go |
| Airparks Short Run, per Airparks | Green Oaks, APL and Maple |
Key-drop products can park cars more tightly, which is part of why they cost less. Take house keys off the ring before handing over, and note the mileage and the car's condition.
Parking with a family
With children and luggage, the shortest route to check-in is worth paying for.
Car Parks 2 and 3 put the car a minute from the terminal, with lifts to every level. The Valet takes the car at a cabin beside the terminal. For a longer trip on a budget, Car Park 5 lets you keep your keys and ride a free bus that runs every 15 minutes. Off-airport, APH Express and the Short Run products keep the bus to a few minutes. Allow extra time on school-holiday mornings, when the approach roads and car parks are at their busiest.
Accessibility and Blue Badge parking
Every official car park has Blue Badge bays, and Blue Badge holders get 30 minutes free in several of them.
Car Park 1 has 56 bays next to the pedestrian exit; Car Park 5 has 30 in the first lane on the right; Car Park 7 has 10. Validate the badge at the NCP Customer Service Cabin in the Premium Set Down car park for the free 30 minutes. In Car Parks 1 to 5, show the badge at the Premium Set Down desk for a temporary windscreen permit; at Car Park 7, collect a form from the cabin inside the car park. Car Park 4's shuttle is accessible, and Airparks says its Drop & Go buses lower and carry a wheelchair space. Book special assistance through your airline for help through the terminal.
Electric vehicles
The Birmingham airport does not list EV charging in any of its car parks.
Airparks sells a Charge & Go product at Mackadown Lane with four 7kW points, which is not in our price sheet. Zapmap lists an EG On the Move charging hub on Coventry Road, B26 3QS, with eight 250 kW CCS chargers at 77p per kWh (checked October 2026). Our Birmingham Airport EV charging guide covers planning.
Busy days at Birmingham
School holidays, early summer mornings and big events at the NEC all add time on the approach.
The airport shares its road network with the NEC and the M42 interchange, so a major exhibition or concert can slow the final miles. On peak holiday mornings, the car parks and the drop-off areas are at their busiest. Allow an extra half hour on those days, book the car park well ahead, and have the confirmation ready at the barrier or reception. The cheapest products sell out first, so the earlier you book for a busy week, the more choice you have.
Security
The airport says all its car parks have Park Mark safer parking status, with CCTV and regular patrols.
Accredited, per the airport.
Read at the barriers.
CCTV, fencing and patrols, per operators.
As each operator describes them; we have not inspected the sites.
We report off-airport operators' security as their own descriptions. Wherever you park, keep valuables with you.
Dropping off and picking up at Birmingham Airport
The Drop Off Car Park is free for 10 minutes; Premium Set Down, right outside, costs £8 for up to 15 minutes.
Both are barrierless and must be paid within 24 hours, at a machine, through Post Pay or by AutoPay. Charges rose by £1 on 6 August 2026. Returning to the Drop Off Car Park within the hour loses the free period. Blue Badge holders get 30 minutes free at Premium Set Down when validated. For collecting arrivals, the airport points drivers to Car Park 5. Full details are in our Birmingham Airport drop-off and pick-up guide.
Getting to Birmingham Airport
Leave the M42 at Junction 6 and follow the A45 towards Birmingham, then the airport signs.
Take the A45 towards Birmingham and follow the airport signs.
The postcode for Car Parks 1, 4 and 5. Car Parks 2 and 3 use B26 3AW; Car Park 7 uses B26 3QW.
The station links to the terminal by the free AIR-Rail Link.
Use B26 3QJ for Car Parks 1, 4 and 5, B26 3AW for Car Parks 2 and 3, and B26 3QW for Car Park 7, which is reached via Terminal Way and Falcon Way on the far side of the runway. Off-airport operators give their own postcodes in the confirmation.
Getting there without the car
Birmingham International station links to the terminal by the free Air-Rail Link, which runs from 03:30 to 00:30 daily.
Direct trains run from Birmingham New Street, Coventry, London Euston and further afield. For a solo traveller on a short trip, the train can cost less than parking and avoids the M42 at rush hour. A lift to the nearest station avoids the drop-off charges too.

- Search. Enter your dates above to see the price for your trip.
- Compare. All sixteen products appear with prices.
- Book. Pay securely; the saving shows first.

Keep the confirmation on your phone: it has the car park, the postcode and any number to call. For the official car parks, the barrier reads your number plate, so make sure the registration on the booking matches the car you drive. For off-airport products, the confirmation also explains the return routine, from Bus Stop A for the APH and Airparks sites to a phone call for APL and Green Oaks. To change dates, amend the booking rather than paying overstay rates on the day. And for any question, from which car park takes a tall van to where to wait for a delayed flight, our team is on the phone number below.
