Airparks runs two products for Birmingham that we sell, from two different sites. Drop & Go is in Garretts Green: you leave your keys, staff park the car and a bus takes about 14 minutes. Short Run, at Bickenhill, is much closer, with a five-minute bus, and Airparks says you keep your keys. Short Run costs more for that shorter ride.

Airparks Drop & Go operates from 100 Mackadown Lane, Garretts Green, B33 0JD, run by Airparks Services Limited. You check in at reception, leave your keys and take a free bus that runs every 25 minutes and takes about 14 minutes. Airparks says its buses lower, have ramps and carry a wheelchair space.

Airparks Short Run is at Bickenhill Parkway, B40 1QB. Staff check you in at the barrier, give you a receipt and direct you to a space; Airparks says you keep your keys. The bus takes about five minutes and runs every 10 to 15 minutes, and you return from Bus Stop A with your receipt.

At both sites, vehicles must be under 2.1 metres high and fit a bay 2 metres wide and 5 metres long. Airparks lists CCTV, staff patrols and floodlighting, with fencing at Drop & Go and entry barriers at Short Run.

Directions

Birmingham Airport sits beside the NEC, east of the city, reached from Junction 6 of the M42 and the A45. Drop & Go is in Garretts Green; Short Run is near the NEC. Your confirmation names your site.

Allow for check-in and the bus: about 14 minutes from Drop & Go, five from Short Run.

Airparks describes CCTV, regular staff patrols and floodlighting, with perimeter fencing at Drop & Go and entry and exit barriers at Short Run. That is how Airparks and its resellers describe the site; we have not inspected it. Take valuables with you.

Vehicle limits

Both sites take standard cars only, with no high-sided vehicles, minibuses, motorhomes, caravans or trailers. A van driver should check before booking; the airport's Car Park 5 has no height restriction.

Birmingham's barriers and operators work from number plates, so the registration on your Airparks booking must match the car. Bookings made with us can be cancelled free within 24 hours of booking.

Your departure
