SMG Park & Ride: an overview
SMG Park & Ride is the cheapest way to park for a trip from Stansted on our sample dates, undercutting even the airport's JetParks. The site is at Warish Hall Farm in Takeley. You check in, leave your keys and ride a short bus to the terminal. Two things to budget for: a per-person airport levy, and operating hours that stop just before midnight.

Working to the hours
With an early start, SMG suits most morning departures. The 23:55 finish matters more: a delayed evening flight could land after the last shuttle. Listings ask for 24 hours' notice of a change to your times, and a £20 fee applies to arrivals or returns more than an hour from the booked time.
