SMG Meet & Greet (Value Plus and VIP): an overview
SMG runs two meet and greet products at Stansted. Value Plus is the cheapest handover we sell at the airport, cheaper even than the official Meet & Greet. VIP costs more and, per its listings, includes the airport access fees and adds flight monitoring. In both, a driver takes the car at the terminal and SMG keeps the keys.
Both SMG products work the same way at the kerb: you drive to the terminal, a driver meets you, and you hand over the car and keys. SMG parks it in its compound while you travel and brings it back when you land.
The difference is what the price includes. Resellers say Value Plus excludes the airport exit fees, set by the airport at £7 to £10 each way. VIP listings say airport access fees are included, and describe a professional chauffeur, a receipt for the car and a team that watches live arrival times.
Both run from 4:00am to 11:59pm. Large vehicles are not accepted, and a car too big for a standard bay pays a surcharge from £40.

VIP listings describe 24/7 CCTV, barrier entry, fencing, ANPR access control and regular guard patrols at the compound, and some describe Park Mark certification, which we have not verified. That is how SMG and its resellers describe the site; we have not inspected it. Take valuables with you.

Value Plus against VIP
Add the exit fees for both directions to the Value Plus price before comparing. With them included, the gap to VIP narrows. VIP also suits anyone who wants the operator tracking a delayed flight.

SMG or the airport's own service
The airport's official Meet & Greet uses a dedicated car park beside the terminal and keeps the car on site. SMG meets you at the kerb and takes the car to its own compound. Value Plus undercuts the official price; VIP costs a little more. Our Stansted meet and greet guide compares every handover.
Night flights
Neither SMG product operates between midnight and 4:00am. A very early departure or a flight landing after midnight is better suited to the airport's own service or a car park.

- Call SMG when you are about 15 minutes from the airport, or when you land.
- Meet the driver at the agreed point.
- Pay any exit fee due on Value Plus, and drive home.
