Superior is the car park the airport used to call Short Stay, directly opposite the terminal and a few steps from check-in. It doubles as Southend's dedicated pick-up and drop-off car park, and the Express lane sits right beside it. For a trip, it is the shortest walk you can get, at the top of the price table.

Blue Badge holders get the bays closest to the terminal here, per the airport. The car park takes vehicles up to 2.0 metres tall and 5.0 metres long, and payment is by card or contactless only.
For a stay of several days, Superior is the dearest official product on our list. Premium, which is also opposite the terminal, costs less pre-booked on our sample dates, so compare the two before booking.
Where you'll park
London Southend Airport sits on the edge of Southend-on-Sea, beside Rochford, about 40 miles east of central London. Follow the airport signs to the terminal and then Superior. Some signs and bookings may still say Short Stay.
Arriving at peak times, allow for queues around the Express lane.

The Express lane next door
The Express Pick-up and Drop-off zone is beside Superior. It costs £8 for a stop of up to ten minutes, with no barrier: you pay online after leaving, by midnight the following day. Stay longer than ten minutes or miss the deadline and a Parking Charge Notice follows. For helping someone inside with luggage, the airport suggests Superior instead, because its turn-up tariff gives more time.
Short Stay, renamed
London Southend Airport renamed its car parks: Long Stay is now Standard, Mid Stay is now Budget and Short Stay is now Superior. Premium kept its name. Older guides, sat-nav favourites and some booking sites still use the old names.
