Park and walk beside the terminal
Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 are undercover multi-storeys opposite the terminal. Each is about a minute's walk from check-in, and you keep your keys.
Car Parks 2 and 3 cost less than Car Park 1 for the same walk. Car Park 1 takes vehicles up to 2.15 metres, against 2.05 metres in the others. Car Park 3 Priority adds reserved ground-level bays. Levels, bay sizes and Blue Badge bays for each one are on our Birmingham Car Parks 2 and 3, Car Park 1 and Car Park 3 Priority pages.
On-airport meet and greet
The airport runs two handovers. Valet Parking works from a cabin by the terminal. At Car Park 7, staff take your keys at an office across the runway.
At the Valet Parking cabin, a chauffeur takes your keys and you walk to check-in in about a minute. The airport runs the service with NCP, and the car stays in a secured car park on the airport site. Car Park 7 is the cheapest official parking at Birmingham. Its courtesy bus runs up to four times an hour and takes 10 to 15 minutes, so allow extra time. Our Birmingham Airport Valet Parking and Car Park 7 guides walk through each handover.
Off-airport meet and greet
Maple Parking meets you outside departures, checks the car over and drives it to a secure car park a few minutes away.
It is the only kerbside handover we sell at Birmingham. Maple says its drivers are uniformed, insured and DBS checked. The handover uses the airport's set-down roads, so check your confirmation for any set-down charge. Our Maple meet and greet at Birmingham Airport guide covers the full process.
Short trip prices at Birmingham Airport
On our 8-day quotes, the official Valet Parking costs £98.00. That is £4.89 less than Car Parks 2 and 3 and £19.57 less than Car Park 1, so handing over your keys can cost less than parking yourself beside the terminal.
Car Park 7 is cheaper again, at £36.40 less than Car Parks 2 and 3 for the same 8 days. Staff park the cars there, and that lets the airport use the space more efficiently. The multi-storeys charge for a self-park bay a minute from check-in.
We show 8-day quotes on this page. Prices for 2 or 3 days follow each operator's own rates, so the order can change on a shorter trip. Enter your dates in the search at the top. Then compare the valet and Car Park 7 against Car Parks 2 and 3 before you book.
Turn-up rates against booking ahead
At the turn-up rate, the multi-storeys charge £67 for each 24 hours. A three-day stay costs £201.
| Stay | Car Park 1 | Car Parks 2 & 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 1 hour | £12 | £13 |
| Up to 2 hours | £24 | £26 |
| Up to 4 hours | £48 | £50 |
| Up to 24 hours | £67 | £67 |
From the airport's car park pages, checked 25 September 2026. The airport charges per 24 hours or part of 24 hours.
For a few hours, turning up works. For a few days, a booking costs less. Code BCP30 takes up to 30% off selected products, and our Birmingham Airport parking discount codes guide shows the saving on each one.
Choosing a short stay option
Pick by trip. A day return suits the multi-storeys. A family weekend with bags suits a handover by the terminal. Car Park 7 is the lowest official price.
| Your trip | Our suggestion | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Day return for business | Official Car Parks 2 & 3 | Keep your keys, a minute to check-in |
| Weekend away with children and bags | Official Valet Parking | Handover by the terminal, no bus |
| Kerbside drop with no walk | Maple Parking Meet & Greet | Driver meets you outside departures |
| Lowest official price | Official Car Park 7 | Keys at the office, courtesy bus |
| A taller vehicle | Official Car Park 1 | 2.15m height limit |
| Limited mobility | Official Car Park 3 Priority | Reserved ground-level bay |
Keeping your keys or handing them over
You keep your keys in Car Parks 1, 2, 3 and Priority. At the Valet, Car Park 7 and Maple, someone else parks the car.
A handover saves the hunt for a bay and the walk back through a multi-storey. Self-parking lets you drive off the moment you reach the car. Take house keys off the ring before any handover, and keep valuables with you.
Coming home
The return trip is where the four options differ most.
At the Valet, you walk back to the cabin, collect your keys and are shown the car. At Car Park 7, the courtesy bus collects you from bus stop D outside the terminal. With Maple, you call the number in your confirmation when you land. In the multi-storeys, you walk to your level and drive out through the number plate barrier.
Security
The airport says all its car parks hold Park Mark safer parking status, with CCTV and regular patrols.
That covers the multi-storeys, Valet Parking and Car Park 7. Maple describes CCTV, floodlights and security fences at its own car park. We report that as Maple's description.
Picking up passengers
The multi-storeys are closest for meeting a flight, but the airport points drivers to Car Park 5.
Car Park 5 costs less for a short wait and has a free bus every 15 minutes. The free Drop Off Car Park allows ten minutes, and Premium Set Down charges by the quarter hour. Our Birmingham Airport drop-off and pick-up guide compares them.
