Official Priority Parking (Drop & Go): the basics
Priority Parking is what London Luton now sells in place of its official meet and greet. There is no driver waiting for you. You park in Terminal Car Park 1, check in at a self-service machine, post your tagged keys into a secure chute and walk to the terminal in about three minutes. Staff move the car to secure storage on site.
Drivers expecting a traditional meet and greet are the ones most often caught out at Luton. Since 2026 the airport's own service has been Priority Parking, a self-service key drop. You still skip the search for a space, and you still walk straight in, but the handover is with a machine rather than a person.
The entry barrier's HD cameras record your car as you arrive. You park in any Priority bay and note its number, then check in at a self-service machine by scanning your booking's QR code or barcode, or entering your registration. The machine prints a label; you tag your keys and drop them into the secure key chute.
Staff then move the car to secure storage on site. On return, you scan your receipt at the collection locker, your keys drop out, and the screen shows the bay where your car is waiting. Running early or late, you text the number on your receipt.
Where it is and how to get in
London Luton Airport sits on the south-east edge of Luton, about two miles from Junction 10 of the M1. Follow the signs for Terminal Car Park 1 and then Priority Parking.
Allow a few minutes at the check-in machine, then the short walk.

Height
Priority Parking is inside Terminal Car Park 1, where the height restriction is 2.1m. Tall vans and cars with roof boxes are better suited to Mid Stay or Long Stay, which have no height limit.

Dropping the car off
Departure day at Official Priority Parking (Drop & Go) runs like this.
- Enter Terminal Car Park 1 and follow the Priority Parking signs.
- Park in any bay and note its number.
- Check in at a self-service machine, tag your keys and drop them in the chute.
- Walk over the footbridge to the terminal.
Picking the car up
When you land, the return is quick.
- Walk back to the Priority Parking area.
- Scan your receipt at the collection locker to release your keys.
- Go to the bay shown on screen and drive out.
