Imagine Parking is the cheapest way to park at Liverpool on our sample dates, and it is closer than most off-airport sites anywhere. You leave the car and keys at reception on the Skypark Industrial Estate, a few hundred yards away, and walk to the terminal in about four minutes. It works like a meet and greet at Imagine's own site: staff take the car and keys, and there is no bus involved.

Imagine Parking Liverpool runs its outdoor car park at 3 Morrow Court on the Skypark Industrial Estate in Speke. Resellers put it 300 to 400 yards from the terminal, close enough that the operator walks you in rather than driving you.

At arrival you unload, give your booking reference at reception and hand over your keys. Staff park the car. You then walk to the terminal in about four minutes. On the way home you call Imagine after collecting your bags, walk back and pick up your keys at reception.

Imagine describes CCTV coverage, electronic shutters and staff patrols around the clock. The site runs 24 hours a day and closes only on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Vans are accepted if they fit a standard bay; anything bigger may cost extra.

Finding it

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is at Speke, on the south-east edge of the city beside the Mersey estuary. Head for the Skypark Industrial Estate, just before the airport, and follow your confirmation to Imagine's reception.

Allow a few minutes at reception, then a four-minute walk.

It works like a meet and greet held at Imagine's own site: you hand over the car and keys at reception, staff park it, and you walk to the terminal. For most travellers that is quicker than waiting for a shuttle. With a lot of luggage or young children, the walk is short, though it is outdoors.

The saving against Park Smart is modest. Imagine suits the lowest price; Park Smart suits drivers who prefer to keep their keys.

Call Imagine once you have your luggage, then walk back to the site. Your keys are waiting at reception.

Make sure the registration on your Imagine booking matches the car you are driving, because the barriers read number plates. Bookings made with us can be cancelled up to 72 hours before your arrival time.
