Highwayman is the one off-airport car park we sell at Cardiff. The site at Fonmon, just outside Rhoose, now trades as APH Cardiff Park & Ride. You leave your keys with the team, they park the car, and a shuttle takes you to the terminal in a few minutes. It runs round the clock for all but one day of the year.
Highwayman Parking is at Fonmon, Rhoose, CF62 3BH, a few minutes by road from the airport. Under APH it is now sold as APH Cardiff Park & Ride, and the Highwayman name still appears on many booking sites.
On arrival you check in at reception and leave your keys with staff, who park the car on site. The shuttle to the terminal takes five to seven minutes and runs every quarter of an hour, 24 hours a day, every day except Christmas Day.
APH describes floodlighting, CCTV and regular patrols. Trailers are accepted but take up two spaces, so they need two bookings.
Where it is
Cardiff Airport sits at Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, about 12 miles south-west of the city centre. From the M4, leave at junction 33 and follow the A4232 and the A4050 past Culverhouse Cross. Before the airport, turn off for Fonmon; use the postcode in your confirmation.
Allow 20 to 30 minutes from arrival at Fonmon to check-in, including the shuttle.

Highwayman and APH
The site was long known locally as Highwayman Parking. It now trades as APH Cardiff Park & Ride, and booking sites use both names for the same car park. Your confirmation will say which name to look for at the gate.
The shuttle in practice
Shuttles leave Fonmon every quarter of an hour, day and night, and the drive to the terminal is short. On return, head for the pick-up point outside arrivals shown in your confirmation; the next shuttle is never long. The one day it does not run is Christmas Day.
Park and ride or the official car parks
Highwayman keeps your car off the airport and adds a shuttle; Car Park 2 costs less on our sample prices and is a short walk. Highwayman suits trailers and travellers who like a staffed site with keys held on the premises.
Trailers and larger loads
A trailer counts as two spaces, so book twice for the same dates. The official car parks take standard vehicles only, which makes Highwayman the practical choice for a boat or a box trailer.
