Official Express Park at a glance
Express Park is Cardiff Airport's answer to meet and greet. You drive to the Express Park shelter beside the terminal, hand your keys in at Priority Reception, and airport staff move the car a short distance to a secure area on airport land. Check-in is about three minutes' walk away. It costs more than Car Parks 1 and 2 and saves the search for a space.
Express Park is run by Cardiff Airport. On arrival you pull up at the Express Park shelter by the terminal, take your bags, and hand your keys in at Priority Reception. Staff then drive the car about 200 yards to a secure area on airport land.
From the handover point, the walk to check-in takes about three minutes. On return, you collect your keys from reception and staff point you to the car.
It is the closest thing Cardiff has to a traditional meet and greet, but without a third-party driver taking the car off site: it stays on the airport throughout.
Where it is
Cardiff Airport sits at Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, about 12 miles south-west of the city centre. From the M4, leave at junction 33 and follow the A4232 and the A4050 past Culverhouse Cross. At the airport, follow the signs for Express Park by the terminal.
The handover takes a few minutes; allow for it on top of the walk.

How the handover works
Keep the booking confirmation on your phone and tell staff about anything unusual, such as a locking wheel nut or a car that needs a particular start procedure.
- Drive in. Follow the Express Park signs to the shelter by the terminal.
- Unload. Take bags and passengers out first.
- Hand over. Leave your keys at reception.
- Walk in. Check-in is a short walk away.
Express Park or Car Park 1
Car Park 1 costs less and is a four-to-five-minute walk, but you find your own space and keep your keys. Express Park is for travellers who value the handover: families with small children, anyone with a lot of luggage, or passengers who find walking difficult.
Express Park or park and ride
Highwayman (APH Cardiff Park & Ride) costs the same on our sample prices, but your car is kept off the airport and you take a shuttle. Express Park keeps the car on airport land and cuts out the ride.
When a return flight is delayed
Booking terms reported by resellers give a discretionary grace period of three hours on return, after which extra days are charged at £25 a day. Amend the booking before you fly when your return date moves.
