We include the official Long Stay because it works the same way: park, then ride a bus. The others are run by off-airport operators in Paisley and Linwood.
How park and ride works at Glasgow
You drive to a car park a mile or two from the airport, check in and ride a shuttle to the terminal. On return, you catch the shuttle back from the stop in your confirmation.
- Drive to the car park. Use the address in your confirmation. Each site has its own entrance.
- Check in. At an off-airport site, hand your keys to staff. At Long Stay, keep them.
- Ride to the terminal. Transfers at Glasgow take a few minutes.
- Come home the same way. Catch the shuttle back and collect your car.
The saving comes from the land. Sites a mile or two out cost less to run, and staff can park cars tightly when they hold the keys. At Glasgow the sites are unusually close, so the transfer adds only a few minutes. Book early, and the saving grows further. Transfer times and what to allow
Glasgow's transfers are short, but allow for check-in and the wait as well as the ride. Around 20 to 30 minutes from arrival to the terminal door is a sensible plan.
The figures come from operator and reseller listings. On-demand services such as Skyport's run when needed, so there may be a short wait on a busy morning. For a very early flight, add a few minutes for the check-in desk.
Vehicle rules
Several Glasgow park and ride sites restrict large vehicles. Check before you book.
No motorhomes, lorries, trailers or caravans.
No camper vans or commercial vans at present.
No height limit stated by the airport.

Early flights and late returns
The official Long Stay bus, Direct Parking and Flying Scot all run shuttles 24 hours a day. Skyport's bus runs on demand.
For a dawn departure, allow extra time at an off-airport check-in desk, which can be busy when several flights leave in the same hour. On a late return, follow the pick-up instructions in your confirmation. Scot Park's support line runs 24/7 if your flight changes.
Getting to the off-airport sites
All four sites sit close to the M8 around Junction 28, in Paisley and Linwood. Use the address in your confirmation rather than the airport signs.
The airport sits beside the M8, west of Glasgow city centre.
Short Stay and Fast Track use PA3 2ST, Long Stay uses PA3 2AY.
The M8 through Glasgow is busy at peak hours.
Scot Park is on Clark Street in Paisley, 1.4 miles from the airport. Direct Parking and Flying Scot are also in Paisley, and Skyport is in Linwood, to the west.
Before you travel
Have your booking and car key ready, and remove house keys from the key ring.
Show it at the check-in desk.
Staff keep it while you are away.
Your car may be moved after check-in.
Security at the park and ride sites
Scot Park describes a fenced, floodlit, CCTV-monitored compound, and Flying Scot describes CCTV, electric fencing and 24/7 staff.
Glasgow Airport says its car parks are monitored by CCTV, with regular security patrols and 24-hour security. We have not found a Park Mark record for Glasgow's car parks, so we do not claim an award. The off-airport operators describe their own security, and we report what each says.
Direct Parking's reseller listing mentions a Park Mark award, which we have not verified. Remove house keys from the ring before you hand over a car key.
