We include the multi-storey for comparison. At Glasgow, handing over your keys is cheaper than parking beside the terminal yourself, which is unusual.
Valet parking at Glasgow Airport
The airport's Valet runs from a new Valet Hub, opened on 3 December 2025 on the site of the former multi-storey. It is for stays of seven days or more.
Cameras record your car's condition as you arrive.
Check in yourself in the Valet Cabin.
Drop your keys on arrival, collect them from a locker on return.
Two to three minutes to the terminal.
Book at least two hours ahead.
CCTV, patrols and 24/7 security, per the airport.
The airport created 2,500 valet storage spaces within the Long Stay car park when it opened the hub. See the Official Valet page for the full process.
How the Valet Hub handover works
Drive through the photo booth, pull into a drop-off lane, check in at a kiosk and post your keys in the Key Drop Box. Keep your collection receipt.
- Photo booth. Drive slowly through, so the cameras record your car.
- Drop-off lane. Pull into a Valet Drop-Off Lane.
- Kiosk. Check in at a self-service kiosk in the Valet Cabin.
- Keys. Post them in the Key Drop Box opposite the kiosks.
- Walk. Follow the covered walkway to the terminal.
- On return. Collect your keys from a locker with your receipt and drive away from the return bay.
The airport's parking pages place the valet drop-off at Car Park 1. Follow the Valet signs as you approach the terminal.
Off-airport meet and greet: Scot Park
Scot Park Meet & Greet takes your car at the terminal and stores it at its compound in Paisley. On our sample dates it costs less than the official Valet.
There is no shuttle. A Scot Park driver meets you at the terminal, carries out a documented condition check and takes your keys. Resellers describe the walk to check-in as about three minutes. When you land, you contact Scot Park and the car comes back to the terminal.
Scot Park describes a fenced, floodlit, CCTV-monitored compound with controlled access. It does not state a minimum stay, so it suits a short trip that the official Valet cannot take. See the Scot Park Meet & Greet page.
Official Valet against Scot Park
The official Valet keeps your car on airport land and uses self-service check-in. Scot Park meets you at the terminal and costs less.
| Official Valet | Scot Park Meet & Greet | |
|---|---|---|
| Handover | Valet Hub, self-service | At the terminal, with a driver |
| Walk to terminal | 2–3 min, covered | About 3 min (reseller figure) |
| Car stored | Airport compound | Clark Street, Paisley |
| Minimum stay | Seven days | None stated |
| Price on our dates | Higher | Lower |
Valet against parking yourself
At Glasgow, the official Valet costs less than the Terminal Multi-Storey on our sample dates. Mid Stay is a little cheaper again, and you keep your keys.
That makes the choice unusual. For a week or more, valet gives you a short covered walk and saves you finding a space, for less than the multi-storey. Mid Stay costs a little less still, with a five-minute covered walk. The trade-off is simple: hand over your keys, or walk a couple of minutes further. The Glasgow parking discount codes page sets out what the code saves at each car park we compare.
Rules to know before booking
The official Valet needs a stay of seven days or more, a booking at least two hours ahead, a valid MOT and tax, and card payment.
Minimum stay for the official Valet.
Latest booking time before arrival.
The car must be roadworthy.
No cash payments.
Getting to the Valet Hub
Leave the M8 at Junction 28 and follow the Valet signs as you approach the terminal. The hub has its own entrances from the main road network.
The airport sits beside the M8, west of Glasgow city centre.
Short Stay and Fast Track use PA3 2ST, Long Stay uses PA3 2AY.
The M8 through Glasgow is busy at peak hours.
For Scot Park Meet & Greet, head for the meeting point at the terminal named in your confirmation instead.
Before you hand over your keys
Empty the car, remove spare keys and note your return flight details. A few minutes of preparation makes the handover quick.
Leave nothing in the car you will miss.
Remove house keys and key rings.
Give them when you book, so the car is ready.
For the Valet Hub key lockers on return.
Flight delays and late returns
Give your return flight details when you book, and contact the operator if your plans change.
Scot Park runs a 24/7 support line for flight changes. With the official Valet, your car waits in the return bays and your keys in a locker, so a late landing does not leave you waiting for a driver. Staying longer than booked may add overstay charges, so update your booking as soon as you know. We set out prices and transfer details on our Glasgow park and ride page.
Who a handover suits
Families, travellers with heavy luggage and anyone on a tight schedule get the most from a handover at Glasgow.
No bus with children and cases.
A short walk from the handover.
Hand over and head to check-in.
Security with a handover
The airport says valet cars sit in a safe compound with CCTV, patrols and 24/7 security. Scot Park describes a fenced, floodlit, CCTV-monitored compound.
Glasgow Airport says its car parks are monitored by CCTV, with regular security patrols and 24-hour security. We have not found a Park Mark record for Glasgow's car parks, so we do not claim an award. The off-airport operators describe their own security, and we report what each says.
Remove valuables and spare keys before the handover, and photograph the car for your own record.
