Every option in the table suits a week or more. The real differences are the transfer, whether you keep your keys, and whether the airport or an off-airport firm runs the site.
The official Long Stay and its electric shuttle
Glasgow's official Long Stay has a free electric shuttle every 10 to 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, taking less than five minutes. You can also walk to the terminal in under eight.

Walking instead of taking the shuttle
The airport says the walk from Long Stay takes less than eight minutes. On a dry day with light bags, it can be quicker than waiting for the next bus.
The shuttle runs every 10 to 15 minutes, so the wait can be longer than the walk itself. Walking suits a solo traveller with a carry-on. With children, heavy cases or bad weather, the bus is the easier choice, and it is free.
On the way home the same choice applies. After a long flight, most people take the bus.
Off-airport long stay
Scot Park, Skyport, Direct Parking and Flying Scot all sit in Paisley or Linwood, a few minutes from the terminal. Each takes your keys at check-in.

Keeping your keys on a long trip
Only the official Long Stay lets you keep your keys among the long stay options. The off-airport sites hold them while you are away.
Key-drop sites hold your keys so staff can move cars around a busy compound. That keeps prices down. Some drivers still prefer to keep their keys, especially with a keyless or high-value car, and at Glasgow that costs only a few pounds more over a week.

Long Stay's reported drive-up tariff reaches £80 for three days, then £15 for each extra day. Eight days at that rate comes to £155.

What to allow for the journey in
Allow for the drive, parking up or checking in, the wait for the bus and the ride. From the official Long Stay, 20 minutes from the barrier to the terminal door is a sensible allowance.
- Drive to your car park. Use the postcode in your confirmation, not the terminal's.
- Park or check in. At Long Stay, park and keep your keys. At an off-airport site, check in and hand over your keys.
- Take the transfer. Official buses run every 10 to 15 minutes. Off-airport shuttles follow their own timings.
- Walk to check-in. Buses drop you close to the terminal entrance.
Luggage, children and the shuttle
The Long Stay electric buses have wheelchair ramps and room for cases. The off-airport shuttles are smaller, so pack with the transfer in mind.
With young children and a pushchair, the official bus is the easiest transfer at Glasgow, and it runs through the night. Skyport and Direct Parking note that their transfer buses may not be wheelchair accessible, and suggest the Terminal Multi-Storey for passengers who need it. With bulky sports kit, check with the off-airport operator before you book.
Long stay with an electric car
We have found no charging points listed for Glasgow Airport's own car parks, Long Stay included. Top up before you park.
Public chargers sit at the fuel forecourt on White Cart Road, beside the airport, according to charging listings such as Zapmap. Arrive with enough range for the drive home, because a car parked for a week or two loses a little charge standing still, and more in cold weather.

The airport says Long Stay has CCTV, regular patrols and 24-hour security. The off-airport operators describe fenced, floodlit compounds.
