About Official Long Stay
Official Long Stay is Glasgow Airport's own budget car park, on Arran Avenue beside the airport. You park, keep your keys and either ride the free electric shuttle or walk to the terminal.
Official Long Stay is run by Glasgow Airport and sits on Arran Avenue, Paisley, postcode PA3 2AY. The airport calls it its most budget-friendly option. A free electric shuttle bus runs every 10 to 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and reaches the terminal in less than five minutes.
You can also walk. The airport says the terminal is less than an eight-minute walk away, which suits light luggage or a busy bus. Few airport long stay car parks give you that choice. Edinburgh's official Long Stay, for comparison, has no shuttle at all.
You keep your keys, because you park your own car. The site is monitored by CCTV, with regular security patrols and 24-hour security, according to the airport. The shuttle buses have wheelchair ramps.
Location and getting there
Glasgow Airport sits beside the M8 at Junction 28, about seven miles west of the city centre. Leave the M8 at Junction 28 and follow the Long Stay signs to Arran Avenue, postcode PA3 2AY.
The shuttle takes less than five minutes, so most of your time goes on the drive and the wait at the stop.

The shuttle is electric and runs through the night, so an early departure or a late landing is no problem. Walking suits a dry day and light bags. Coming home with heavy cases, most people take the bus.
The free hour for pick-ups
Glasgow lets drivers leave their car in Long Stay free for up to an hour. You can wait in the car or ride the free shuttle to meet your passenger at the terminal. It is one of the most generous free pick-up windows in the UK, and far better value than the Express Drop-off.
