About APH

APH (Airport Parking & Hotels) is a family-run business founded in 1980 and one of the UK's longest-established independent airport parking operators. It owns and runs its own car parks at Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham, and books vetted car parks at airports across the UK, serving over 300,000 customers a year. Off-airport rates are typically 10 to 15% cheaper than parking on-airport.

APH is a Which? Recommended Provider and a repeat winner of Best Airport Parking Company at the British Travel Awards. Sites are barrier-controlled with 24/7 CCTV and on-site staff, and many hold the Park Mark Safer Parking award.

Location & directions

Address: Copthorne Road, Crawley RH10 3PD

From the M23 Junction 10 (East Grinstead exit), join the A264 Copthorne Way (first exit at the roundabout if southbound, third exit if northbound). Continue straight over the next roundabout, then take the fourth exit onto the A2220, signposted Maidenbower. Follow signs for the APH Parking Centre, passing the Texaco petrol station (keep going even if your sat-nav stops you there). After about a quarter of a mile, turn right into Crawley Garden Centre and follow the APH signs to check-in.

Allow enough time to check in and transfer to the terminal.

Dropping off your car

  1. Drive up to the automated barrier - it raises for entry.
  2. Follow the road markings to the arrival bays and park.
  3. Take your car keys and flight details to reception.
  4. A staff member checks you in and securely parks your car.
  5. Board the shuttle bus for the short transfer to your terminal (a free shuttle every 10 to 15 minutes, 24 hours a day (around a 10 to 12 minute ride, return included)).

Returning to your car

  1. After you land, head to the APH shuttle stop just outside your terminal.
  2. Take the bus back to the APH car park.
  3. Collect your keys at reception.
  4. Your car is ready for you to drive away.

Return shuttle stops: South Terminal: bus stop 7 or 8 (ground floor). North Terminal: bus stop 6 (ground floor).

Security & facilities

APH Gatwick uses 24/7 digital CCTV with over 120 camera points, barrier-controlled entry and exit, and a fully floodlit site, with staff on site around the clock every day of the year. During busy periods a vehicle may occasionally be moved to a secondary secure site with the same standards.

Facilities typically include reception with toilets and baby-changing, free WiFi, uniformed staff and assisted loading on request.

Accessibility

APH offers wheelchair-accessible shuttle buses and staff help with luggage. There is a help button at the barrier, and you can ask at check-in to have your car parked near reception for easier access on return.

Good to know

Maximum height 2.4m, no trailers, and the vehicle must fit a standard bay and be driveable on a standard UK licence. Skis and snowboards are allowed on the transfer coach, but bikes and surfboards are not. Vehicles with a ghost immobiliser cannot be moved by staff and may need a Self Park upgrade (£20 on arrival), so let the car park know in advance.
