Express Park and Highwayman cost the same, and more than the self-park options.

Both include staff parking the car. At Express Park, the car stays on airport land; at Highwayman, it stays at Fonmon and you take a shuttle.

A lift or a taxi

A lift avoids parking but costs two return journeys.

From Cardiff city centre the airport is about 12 miles away. For a week or more, a lift may cost less than parking once fuel is counted; for a long trip, parking is often simpler.

Trip length matters

The longer the trip, the more the daily price matters.

For a weekend, the difference between Car Park 2 and Car Park 1 is small. For a fortnight, it is worth having, so choose Car Park 2 unless the shorter walk is important.

Cheapest is not everything

Choose the cheapest option that fits the trip.

With a trailer, Highwayman is the practical choice. With small children or reduced mobility, Express Park may save more stress than it costs.

Turning up without a booking costs more than booking ahead. Waiting in the drop-off zone costs more than a short stop in Car Park 2. Coming back late without amending the booking can mean daily charges. Booking early with our code avoids all three.

Returning late

Keep the booking in step with your flights.

Booking terms reported by resellers allow a discretionary grace period, then a daily charge. When your return changes before you travel, amend the booking rather than paying on the day.

Cheap parking for short business trips

For a single night, the price gap between Car Park 1 and Car Park 2 is only a few pounds.

Choose on the walk you prefer. For a same-day return, both are close enough that the choice barely matters.
