Short Stay is Bristol Airport's open-air car park beside the terminal, a short walk from check-in. It suits trips of a day or two, and it is the most expensive car park in our network over a full week.

Since July 2025 it has been a parking-only car park. Pick-ups and Express Drop & Go moved to the Drop Off and Pick Up car park in the Public Transport Interchange, so do not use Short Stay to collect passengers.
It is the most expensive car park in our network on a daily basis over eight days. On a day trip or a weekend, the convenience can be worth it. For longer trips, other car parks save a large sum.
Location and getting there
Bristol Airport sits on the A38 at Lulsgate, south of the city. Follow the Short Stay signs as you approach, not the Drop & Go signs.
Short Stay is beside the terminal, so there is no transfer to build into your plans. Allow a few minutes more at peak times.

Pick-ups have moved
Since July 2025, Short Stay has been a parking-only car park. Pick-ups and Express Drop & Go now happen in the Drop Off and Pick Up car park in the Public Transport Interchange, and the free Waiting Zone at the Car Rental Centre offers up to an hour free. Anyone collecting you should follow the Drop Off and Pick Up signs, not the Short Stay signs.
Before you travel
A few minutes of preparation makes the day smoother at Short Stay. At Short Stay, check your return time carefully, because short stay rates rise quickly with each extra day.
Keep your confirmation handy for the entry and exit.
Photograph the level or row sign when you park.
Nothing to hand over, so keep them safe on your trip.
Extra time beyond your booking is charged.
Check your number plate on the booking matches your car, and allow extra time on the A38 at busy times. Cancellation cover runs up to 72 hours before your arrival time on bookings made with us, so check your dates before that window closes.
When Short Stay is worth it
Over a day or two, the extra cost against the budget end is modest and the short walk is worth it. Over a week, the gap against Silver Zone runs to around £90 on our sample dates, and against Oakwood to over £110.

For most short trips the Multi-Storey is the better buy. Short Stay suits you when it has the space you need or your plans point there.

Follow the directions in your booking confirmation to reach Official Short Stay. The steps below show how the day works.
- Follow the Short Stay signs, not Drop & Go.
- Park and note your row. Accessible bays are in the centre.
- Walk the short distance to the terminal.
Collecting your car on return
Keep your booking confirmation on your phone for the trip home. Coming back takes a few simple steps.
- Leave arrivals and follow the Short Stay signs.
- Find your car in the row you noted.
- Drive out using your booking details.
