Park and ride at Bristol means Silver Zone, the airport's giant budget car park. It is cheap, the bus never stops running, and it has one rule that catches people out. Here is how it works from arrival to return.

Park and ride shuttle bus

Silver Zone park and ride

Silver Zone has over 11,000 spaces, making it the UK's largest airport car park. A free bus runs every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and takes 7 to 9 minutes to the Public Transport Interchange.

The postcode is BS48 3DW. The airport pitches it at stays of three days or more. You can check the saving before you book on our Bristol parking discount codes page.

The key drop at Silver Zone

You do not keep your keys at Silver Zone. You park, check in at reception, hand over your keys and then board the bus.

Plan for the handover

Allow a few minutes at reception on the way out and on the way back. Keep your booking confirmation ready on your phone.

To keep your keys, book the multi-storey instead, at a higher price. Our Bristol long stay parking page compares the car parks side by side.

How the Silver Zone journey works

Drive in, park, check in, hand over your keys and catch the bus. On return, take the bus back and collect your keys at reception.

  1. Drive to BS48 3DW. Follow the Silver Zone signs, not the terminal signs.
  2. Park and check in. Leave your car and hand your keys in at reception.
  3. Take the free bus. It leaves every 15 minutes and reaches the Interchange in 7 to 9 minutes.
  4. Return the same way. Catch the bus back from the Interchange and collect your keys.

Park and ride against the alternatives

Silver Zone is the cheapest official car park at Bristol. Oakwood and Forge cost less, and Mid Stay costs a little more but needs no bus.
