The charged drop-off zone at Edinburgh

The zone on the ground floor of the multi-storey costs £8.50 for up to 10 minutes, then £1 a minute. The airport raised it from £6 in May 2026, citing a 142% rise in business rates.

The free 30-minute option in Long Stay

Long Stay gives 30 minutes free for drop-off and pick-up. It is about a 10-minute walk to the terminal, with no shuttle.

The airport has said extra spaces will be added and a free shuttle is expected to return. Until it does, plan for the walk.

1 Hour Parking for longer stops

For stops longer than 10 minutes, 1 Hour Parking sits in the Terminal Car Park, opposite the terminal.

Blue Badge holders get up to an hour free via the exit intercom and a 16-character code. Residents of listed nearby postcodes can apply for 50% off.
